Stupid cats

Don't take it the wrong way. I'm okay with cats, I don't hate them. I love kittens, too!

...but cats that do don't know what at 5am and leave a gaping hole in your front porch's ceiling is not part of the group of cats that I like, okay! I was just complaining to Leech online about those cats making such an awful lot of noise (even in the KL house, I have this problem!!! Is it their mating season now?!!) then it's about 5am (yea, I slept at 6am because it's a Saturday and I haven't got anything on in the morning) that I heard a loud crash outside the house. I peeked thru the curtains to see two adult cats standing right in front of the clothes hanger. I couldn't see what they wrecked at that time because it was dark. I only found out this afternoon when I woke up.

This is not funny. Stupid cats.

I can't fix it, so I'd leave it at a side till next week when the parents come back. *hee!*

NEXT WEEK!!! About 9 more days, actually. Woooooohoooo!!!

---

Just got back from our young adults meeting - which is a financial workshop conducted by Uncle Rajen. Prolly you've heard of or seen him before (I know before coming to Agape I've read his name some places before) and he did it FOC! *hehe* I'm miserably exposed of my bad financial standing at the moment. *hangs head in shame*

It was an eye opener - although he did write an article in AgapeLine about wealth management, seeing him talk in person gives a better impact. *hehe* I'm motivated! Let's get planning!

I think I've had enough of meat for today

Went to meet LiMay for lunch today. She asked if I was up for meat...at that time, I was. After the meal...ugh. No, thank you. *hehe*

She had to go back to the office earlier than usual, so she suggested EuroDeli. I've heard of it since TCH cell time (when they had a rombongan to go have lunch - or was it dinner?) but I've never been there.

A pig...having a sausage in its hand is just...weird. You're eating your own kind! You cannibal!

LM looking sad. Either because of a certain RM70 or because of not being able to choose from the normal/usual menu.

Mosquito coil at the corner, side of table. Quaint. Balanced on a beer bottle summore! *hehe*

The table beside us got to order from the normal menu...so were we pissed lah because our waiter told us because the buffet is on, we could only order from a certain list (which was handed to us). Being the outspoken/indignant people we are *hehe* we asked the waiter why the table beside us could choose from the normal menu. Since we could hear them talking (we were only separated by a foot of space or something), I'm sure they could hear what we were complaining about, too! Anyway, the waiter told us it was because the people on the table beside us were owners of the deli. Family of the owners, he later added.

Oh well. That's life, right?

Unfortunately, I don't have anyone in the family who owns any eateries.

Guess what?

Guess what is this?

Texture of my trousers. Which is a bit snug. Because I gained weight. Pah!
But that's not the story.
I had nothing to do. Waiting outside the clinics...for my 3pm appointment.

This is the second time that my restless leg syndrome acted up in the day time. The last time it was also in KB and it was also while waiting for time to pass. This is bad! Usually when it does happen, it happens at night (which is more "normally" reported).

Queensbay

After going around (being hacked by the Penang taxi's parang) several hospitals and finishing my appointments, I went to Queensbay to pass time before I get to meet Mi-Chelle.

The deco in Queensbay. No one to take a picture for me, so just took a picture of the deco. *heh!* Wanted to be a bit tourist-y mah!

This is why it's called "bay" - look at the view! Squint your eyes and look far and beyond, that's Penang bridge.

Who else to kacau with MMS? Sze-Mien lor! Managed to send off the picture message before my phone flashed "no reception" - apparently in certain parts of the mall, the reception is bad or non-existent. Why is this so? Anyone? Too big? Or is it because I was on the lower ground floor?

Didn't send this picture out. Wanted to show and ask, doesn't this Gap store looks promisingly bigger than the one in OneU?

My RM2.50 bowl of asam laksa. Why is the food court called "Super Tanker"? I don't know. *hehe*

When I was walking around in Queensbay (off topic : Am so glad for Borders because I was able to kill time by browsing books, reading them, noting prices - while waiting for MC to come pick me after her class) - I realise something. I don't know if I perasan but why on earth do people in Penang like to stare? Literally.

It's either I have something on my face (which I'd rather they come up to me to tell me), or they aren't staring at me but it's really me being perasan, or it's because I'm walking behind them in the same direction that they think I'm tailing them (thus they have to turn back and stare every 30 seconds) or I look funny/out of place (which I would not agree to) or maybe I'm just right - as in they do like to stare. *hehe*

I was born in Penang. I don't have a penchant for staring at people also. Sort of. People-watching when I'm eating alone or having coffee alone, yes...but not staring at someone who's walking beside/behind me or at someone waiting at the entrance for a friend or someone who's enjoying shopping alone. Pah! *hehe*

Dormant

New place no internet connection yet.

Travelling a lot. Tomorrow Penang. Wednesday KB.

Not feeling too good. Not enough sleep. Sun. Work. Running around. Hot, cold, hot, cold. Weird dreams. Bad dreams.

Yet happy. January's target settled. For the time being. Still gotta work hard for next month if I want to enjoy CNY.

Mom's coming back soon!

House still a mess. Like ShwuYan said, if I'm not around often - it should be clean! Well, it was messed up since 4 months ago *hehe* Did nothing much to improve it so...*shrugs*

New place not complete yet. Itching to get it sorted because then I'd be able to stay home and call it home. Yet busy. Everyone's busy. Got housemate like no housemate. Pah! *phbbbbt*

New manager coming in. Partly glad - for the direction. Worried if we'd get along.

Going to work with Haslinda. I believe I'd be in capable hands for my marketing side.

Pictures - lots! Own computer bursting! Just realised that my iPod has more memory than computer. *hehe*

Everyone's congratulating me but I feel like I hadn't done anything to deserve it. *heh!*

Gotta get going.

Of "smelling" "rat"

I arrived home about 4pm - decided to stay over in KL yesterday because I was just too tired (lazy!) to drive home to Seremban after the outing with SM.

I opened the door and as usual, the musky smell of the house hits me first. Then I saw a white cat (with grey patches) jumped out thru the window. I forgot to close it last weekend. Oh well. I switched on the fan and wondered how come the fan didn't start moving. Oh no. Must've been the storm that tripped our electricity supply. It happens quite often, so I just went to the switch box and turned on the power supply again. Tadaaaa!!!

Suddenly I noticed - something black and crawling behind me, near the door (I didn't close the door yet because I still had some stuff to take from the car). For a moment I thought it was a rat!!! Ewwww!!! Then I realised it was a little kitten. With eyes still closed, crawling towards the old towel I left near the door to wipe my feet.

It finally managed to get onto the cloth. I daren't touch it for fear the mommy cat wouldn't want to go near it. I'm not experienced with cats. Thank God I didn't step on it!!! Imagine that! I totally missed it when I was walking in.

Look! So cute right?

Awww...when it crawled onto the towel, I folded a part up to cover the fella. I don't know if these little ones would feel cold or not, better not risk it.

I was worried the mommy cat won't come back, so I spent time thinking of how to make sure that she'd find her kitty when she does. I didn't want to leave the window open anymore because I want to watch TV and I also fear that because I'm in the hall, she wouldn't come thru the window to get her kitty anyway. So I placed the towel+kitty into a box and left it outside on our chair. I didn't open the sliding door because I didn't want the cat to see me but I put the curtains one side so I could see if the kitty was in danger or not. I left it on the chair so that nothing would walk over it or something.

After a while the cat came back. It sat outside the window, staring at it. So bodoh one. Or is it because she couldn't smell her baby? Aiyorr...how? So I went out but by the time I opened the door, she fled. I couldn't even pacify her to come back when I made as if I had some food for her.

This time, I placed the box on the floor, under the chair...then went inside to wait again. The cat did come back and still stared at the window. Felt like knocking the cat's head.
After a long while, she seemed to notice there's something in the box (perhaps she saw the movement of her kitty) - she approached the box cautiously. Finally!!! She saw her kitty!!!

*wipes off sweat*

Was so relieved to see her carrying her baby and going off to wherever she feels is safe for her litter. I am guessing that when I was carrying my things out of the car, the cat started "transferring" her kittens but didn't get the last one in time. Either that or she really only had one kitten. Am glad kitty is okay.

After all that drama, I finally got into the kitchen. It smelt funny. I just waved it off thinking that because everything was closed up for a whole week. The second time I went into the kitchen - then I realised! Oh shooooooooooooot! The things in the fridge!!! GARGH!!

Everything went bad. And mouldy. And stinky. Not a pretty sight. I had to throw out all the food in the freezer, the fridge. Anything wet, it has gotten mouldy. Yuck. Although it's not a lot of food, but it's my "survival" food, kinda thing. Sausages, nuggets, luncheon meat, chicken meat. How would I make my pasta now? How to spruce up my instant noodles? Huh? *sigh*

I daren't "re-stock" for fear of the same thing happening if it rains again during the week. I guess will wait for mom to come back - then let her decide what she wants in the fridge.

Late dinner

After sending the ladies off at the office, I drove slowly back home (raining heavily lah!) - messaged Sze-Mien and JoFo to see if they're up to going kai kai with me. JoFo declined, SM (bless her heart! *haha*) is always up for it!

Instead of the usual of picking her up at 6pm after work, I told her I'd be there at 7pm instead because I wanted to rest for a bit - which turned out me being late! I fell asleep till 7pm!!! Ooops.

By the time I got to her place, it was near 8.30pm? Don't know why there was still a congestion on Federal! Pfft. By the time we got to Ikano, it rather late. I wanted to go check out WinterWarmers ever since I saw pretty porcelains on one of Celynn's post - yea. Superficial giler. What I forgot was it's at night already and near closing time. Where on earth to get scones+tea set?! Still, we went ahead and had cheese baked pasta. It was decent - pretty big portion. Was telling SM that I hope they give a reasonable portion (okay lah, I actually said BIG portion!) because I was hungry. *heh!*

The interior. The waiter sat us down on a table outside the lot. We were saying that prolly because he just cleaned the floors inside, that's why we weren't shown to a seat inside. *hehe*

Off work duty. Calling other people to loan drugs. *hehe*

Look so chan because am tired. Or it's just an excuse. *heh* While waiting for SM to finish her phone call.

Quaint, English (am I right to "stereotype" them? *hehe*) teacups.

I got my toilet rack!!! Finally it's in stock! Looks so pweeetty sitting in our toilet now. *hehe* Now all I need is more products to fill up the space. *heh!*

Curtains!

Abstract or not our curtains? Funny looking?

Well, the sliding doors are slightly wider than the regular panes in other houses, so that little bit extra, I decided to go with a smaller piece (okay, okay. I admit. I was driven by the cost - less width, cheaper!) instead of getting a 3rd full piece of cloth.

So now BL don't need to worry about people looking thru the sliding door and peeking to see what is he doing. *hehe*

Need to just cut off some extra cloth (because some people go gave me the wrong measurements - resulting in extra money spent! Hmmph! *hehe*) and sew the sides. Good thing I saw these clips in Ikea. Easier than normal curtains! Just a piece of cloth (or in this case, 3 pieces of cloth) and that's it! Just clip them on. Also because the owner put in old school railings, which are a PAIN to put up curtains to. I know, I've helped mom do it for our old house before. Heavy and tiring.

Nice kar?

No manners!

Guess who is the "no manners!!!" person this time?

Phoebe!!!

Scent test

These are the candles I gave out for Christmas. Have some extra and I thought I'd use it for myself. Though I feel that my effort of wrapping them up went down the drain - yet I didn't want to leave the candles for too long for fear that they'd lose their scent, which is pear, by the way. I lit them up to get rid of the "new wood" smell that's lingering in my new room.

This is the lightest coloured one. The wax has completely melted. JoFo said smelt nice, I didn't smell anything also! Felt cheated!

The darkest coloured one. Three different shades of green, but the scent is all the same. Scary looking because it turned black when completely melted. I put this in the tealight holder given by AuntyJo on Christmas'05.

In the end, room still smelt the same. I guess time will have to take its course lah

So sad...

When I got all excited thinking I'd be going for the meeting from Wednesday to Friday, my boss tells me that I'm following the office-based people (no wonder I'm in WP's group to go over to PD! D'oh!) on Thursday, before lunch. It means on Wednesday, when the rest are in PD, I'm the only person from the sales force going around making professional calls.

This is because on the first day, they've got brand team activities. And since my team is...well, just me...I'd be doing nothing. Plus the fact that I've got a high target this month, it's supposedly to maximise my productivity. I don't deny that...but just that...I'm feeling a bit deflated. Oh well!

The scary part is that I'd be in time for their team building. And if they are using this facility...whoa. It's my first time joining any company/corporate events okay - even if it's JUST team-building for some of you.

More back logging soon.

First time staying over

I had some sort of difficulty sleeping the night before. It's either because the bed is foregin or the place is too...empty/quiet. *shrugs* I could sleep anywhere - so it's rather surprising. I dozed off around 2am or so? I don't remember.

It was lovely waking up to their cuddles. *hehe!*

Not so good is that we have this neighbour who would park the car like this. No manners at all. Heh-lo? It's okay if you want to park in front of our house, granted that technically it IS our side and we have the right to park there - but don't so melampau to park blocking part of our gate right?! If I had a lorry...well...*heh!*

*sings* All by myself...

Went back to the new house to pick up keys from Surt and also to send her to Sentral. Company's trip to Bangkok - and guess what she brings along? A bottle of wine. *hehe* Apparently her boss sponsored the wine and everyone's carrying a bottle. I shall hear more stories on Sunday!

---

After work I went shopping around for house stuff. Yea...I've plans to make the new place a home instead of a typical bachelor's place of just mattress and desk. Asked TC if she could meet me in Ikea - if she's up to it. As I left, she didn't call me yet so we cancelled. Instead of moving off, I went into Ikano. Was disappointed because I couldn't find anything I wanted.

Then I saw this...and messaged SM!

11-Jan-07 7:32 pm
Subject: Complete the sentence!
To: SM

Hehe suka kacau u la. *sings* all by myself... *singing ends*

I went jalan-jalan in HarveyNorman then came out to eat.

Tiles. Reminds me of something but I can't place my finger on it. Hmmm...

My dinner! They forgot my softboiled eggs, so I went without. I forgot they have hardboiled egg (though only half of it) in their nasi lemak - it was a good thing they forgot. See? I still have that yellow piece of paper. Durable!

---

After dinner, I went over to SS2 to see PuiEe! It's been 3 years(?) - actually it's slightly more than that! The last time I saw her was in July/August 2003. How time flies! I bought cookies from her and I've been disciplined so far to not eat it yet. It's meant for CNY! *hehe*
We went over to wai sik kai and bumped into Lav and Steven! *hehe* Apparently the gang was over there to have dinner.
I think I chatted with PE till near 11pm - sent her home and went back home. It was good to see her - nothing has changed. To me, at least. She's still so chatty, bubbly, caring and full of laughter! I actually got "lost" trying to get to her place - when in the end I found out it was sooooooo much nearer if she had guided me from Seapark (I went to Giant there to kill a bit of time and to look for house stuff. Becoming very much domesticated! *hehe*).

Solo trip

Colleague had to go into the office for a meeting and will be going to Johor only on Thursday (and putting up a night there). As I've got appointments on Friday, I couldn't follow him then - but I REALLY needed to go JB. What to do? Drive lor.

I'm proud of myself! I found the place on my own - though I had to go round and round and round.

Good thing about JB? A lot of petrol stations everywhere! With a full petrol tank, need not fear of getting lost! *hehe*

Bad thing? Bad road sign boards! Or the lack of it, actually.

Then again, about near two hours into my journey there - I started to regret the trip. I wonder if I was dreaming then - because whole body felt so numb sitting in my little car, not doing anything. *hehe*

I did mention before that HSA was beside the sea. HSA in red!

This is the second Hyatt that I've come across that's just beside the sea. Sort of. The first was in Manila. Walking distance to the sea - or at least, to SEE the sea.

The sea...

Yet, the sea...
I was stuck in a jam on the way to the highway. *hehe*

After the traffic light, it was smooth sailing. Apart from the typical bus stop, gives me an LA/Beverly feel to the place. *hehe*

To fill up time while driving, I took pictures of self in the car. I won't torture people and post it here *hehe* - but this is the storm coming at the back. I'm driving as fast as I can to run away. Thank God that nothing happened on Wednesday because on Thursday and Friday, all I hear from the radio is about the floods in Johor.

*faints*

I'm aching all over. Physical ache. I tried to be a hero on Sunday - I fixed my new bed and other stuff for my new room. I took pictures. I was then positive. I was then energetic...but you've got to admit, there were a lot of screws. *haha*

That doesn't sound good...tired because I was scre...ehhh...

I asked BoonLeong, "Have you got any loose screws lying around?"

That didn't sound right either. *haha*

Basically I did finish fixing the bed...now I'm aching all over. I slept late, woke up early to go to KB and now I'm still online at 10pm. I'm supposed to go to bed early because I'll be going to Penang on the 6.55am flight. Yup. Hero betul.

---

Next week I'm going to attend our company's meeting. So excited! It's my first time going for any such thing - and we'd be going away for 3 days! To Guoman. It's been some time since I went to PD.
[oh! And meeting starts 17th. Yup. It's a Wednesday! And it goes on till Friday. Yup! No need to work. *hehehehehehehehe*]

---

I've been telling everyone - I'm hard pressed for time these two weeks. I need a break - yet the new year's target is not allowing me any break. *sigh* Can't afford to take a break. How?

*cries*

So many things to do, so little time. And I've yet to update my database. Re-evaluating customers and sorting the classes. Aiyo...I need some super mega bionic pills or something. So until I have time to resize pictures and write properly, no postings. This is serious. I'm busy with work. No more 3-hours' joke, okay! *wags finger at YK, MC and LC*

---

Okay. Go sleep. Penang food, here I come!

---

Pah! Change of plans. Penang food, wait for me! I'll be there soon! *hehe*

Tea time is wicked

I LOVE having tea breaks. As in hah mm cha time of tea break. The English, the local. Totally wicked. *hehe*

The English - I love scones, pancakes, cakes, brownies, tea!!! Pots and pots of tea!

The local - pisang goreng!!! Tea or coffee!

---

Before service ended (at around 11am), I received a call from the delivery person. He told me that they'd be there with my stuff at around 11am plus to 12pm. WHAT?! I specifically requested for them to be there after 3pm. Tai lou...I'm in Seremban leh. Thank God choir's on a break! *hehe* So I left church early (sampai JoFo even messaged me to ask if I was okay because she thought I didn't go to church. But I did! I was ushering for the day and my position was the the door - while JoFo was in the box doing projection) - arrived in the new house slightly later than 12.30pm. I wasn't driving very fast - I took time to talk to mom on the phone while driving up to KL. It was a very hard-pressed week. Indeed!

I was craving for a tea break (well, I pening looking at the amount of work I need to do fixing my new bed and sort) - so I asked SM (who else who would be so kind and willing! We're a very good symbiotic couple *ahem*) and then SM further checked on LiMay to go for pancakes! Went to Paddington House of Pancakes. The place is tucked behind Gap in OneU - and I thought they belum buka - their lot number not on the directory mah!

<<>> FeR's Banana Hazelnut something pancakes. Not the same as what I took with Elaine the last time at PlazaDamas - I'm a little disappointed. I miss my butter!

SM with her pancakes.

FeR with hers. Picture taken "grudgingly" by SM. *haha* Because I take up her makan time. Oh dear...I'm not painting a very nice picture of her. She's very nice one. *angel*
I don't want to risk losing my makan/"indulgence" partner. *heh!*

LM looking disgusted at the fact, "Have to put sugar one ah?" *hehe* See that dollop of cream in my cup of coffee? SM asked her to take some of the cream off before adding sugar, if not it's difficult to stir it in. I just said, "Put here" *in my coffee* and she absent-mindedly followed. *hehe*

LM's Peaches Strawberry Nut thing. *hehe*

FeR, SM. LM said we look alike in this picture. Where got?!

SM, LM. So SM asked for me to take a picture of them both to see if they look alike. *hehe* Don't know why it turned out so red.

After tea, went jalan-jalan. NOW I understand what SM means by getting a high/being happy even when the one buying something is not yourself. *hehe* Sent SM home and went back to new place to start work! Back-breaking!

I left KL near 1am? Was waiting for my "dinner" and my dear Surt came back with her face all red and smelling of alcohol. Everything was giggly funny to her then. Even when she left her keys in her SK's car. I told BoonLeong - "Wah! Sunday night also so happening ah this housemate. Remember to lock your room door!" *hehe*

Furniture shopping

I asked Sze-Mien if she's up to following me to Ikea.

Ended up instead of getting a relaxing kai kai trip, she was conned into being my kuli! *hehe* Thanks SM!

What's an outing with SM without a picture of her eating? *hehe*

When I brought this out, she almost yelled, "WHERE IS YOUR PLANNER?"

Well...it's a very flexible piece of coloured paper. I won't lose sight of it either because it's BRIGHT yellow. *hehe*

Since it was Friday, we took our time - in the end, was a rather rushed time also! Because we ended up dragging the extra time in meatballs-eating and yakking at the restaurant. *hehe* Definitely hope we're not giving out wrong "vibes" - since we were going around testing beds/couches, discussing where to put/what to put and saying, "We'd better hurry if we want to get a bed."

*hehe*

Celebrating Sze-Mien's birthday

A day of makan and more makan. We're at the age of non stop muching man! Wait. It's not even munching on snacks...we're eating full meals! Then I wonder why I put on weight. Pfft. *hehe*

I was actually trying on the jeans mom got me and the top that Manda gave to me. Blazer was from Zara the other day. Trying to put it together. Too formal? Supposedly smart casual. *heh!* I'd only wear like this at home, in front of the mirror, I guess.

Nope, that wasn't part of the celebration. Pictures will be up soon. A whole lot.
[Edit 4th January 2007 : Pictures are up! Here.]

Delicious-Italianni's-Starbucks. All in a span of 6 hours? Superb. And you actually need 4 hours before your stomach is emptied. Fantastic, like magic!

This is in 2007. We sat at the same table as when we celebrated JoFo's birthday but this time was to celebrate Sze-Mien's birthday.

This was in 2004. Also for Sze-Mien's birthday.

This was in 2005. For JoFo's birthday - doesn't she look "excited"? *hehe*

So although we don't go there very often, but it's always the same few place. We need a new venue/new places to pig out. *hehe* If not, it'd be like my red shirt thing - you don't know which year or which birthday was it since the "backdrop" is always the same.

Also went to see the new place. Am excited to get it done - all homey. Yet contemplating - especially when there's a possibility of leaving this new place in less than a year. *sigh*

Small reunion

Some may feel left out/offended because we didn't invite you, don't. It was mostly to make the most out of the little time that the three (Keat, Mi-Chelle, YikKeng) had left in Seremban. Me being there was just a bonus for me. *heh!*

By the time I got a parking, they (Keat, MC, LyeChan) were about to change the venue to Starbucks. Mana tau when I was walking past Kopitiam to check out if there's an available table, I saw LC and Keat sitting there already! *hehe*

We sat there till LC's mom called! *hehe* Time to go home! Which was somewhere past 6pm? 6.13pm, to be exact.

Keat going what-happened-to-you-did-Penang-changed-you-into-this and with MC cheekily laughing, of course. *hehe*

YK, MC.

MC was talking to LC. LC noticed I was taking a picture and this is actually a "posed" picture (on her part). Keat's vacant expression is not because he was listening or in deep thought - he was checking girls out. *haha*

Doggy on YK's phone. Cute, huh? China mari.

LC, MC, FeR. First thing we all noticed was how small sized she's become. *hehe* The jogging and walking did pay off, then!

It's good to have her back. Unfortunately would only be a short time before she goes off to Bintulu. So we're all fighting for time slots with her - especially when she's also wanted in Melaka. *hehe*

Happy New Year!

And the new year starts off with positive notes!

LyeChan is finally back! Can't believe she's in RJ now - so close! Hope to see her tomorrow.

Mom's back online again! YAY!

Aunt Helen is arriving tomorrow! Or rather, later! YAY!
