One of my favourite things

Toast bread with butter. Has got to be freshly toasted so that butter would be perfectly melted.

Picture taken today before we started cell. I arrived early (what's new?) and was hungry.

Pensive.

Toast in a quiet, curtains-darkened living room that faces KLCC. What a view. Priceless.

---

On the other hand, while I was driving to Hazel&Paul's place, this car was in front of me.

The picture looks distorted? Well, other than the low picture quality, it's not distorted. In fact, the car was uhmm..."lifted"? Car-lift! *hehe* Basically it reminded me of a cockroach. The kind which looks like this. Like the car. Like it was tip-toe-ing on all legs so the roach is "taller" and walks with a waddle/spring/boing. I don't know. I think it's also the kind which can fly. Then again, I was told all roaches can fly. *shudder*

Is it weird a car reminds me of a roach?

*shrugs*

I'm FeR.

First visit to the gym

After getting the card done, I was excited to start! Yea...san si hang! *haha*

So Surt agreed to go with me today, after work (we talked about it over tuna melted cheese sandwiches yesterday - yup!). I fell asleep waiting for her. *hehe* When she finally got home, we got changed and contemplated showering at the gym or not. Surt usually does but me being me..."I don't have this! I don't have that! Have to bring that ah?" In the end, we decided to save the steam room for another time. *hehe*

The best thing?

WAHLAITOI! *haha*

Well, at least it kept me going for at least 1.5hours on the threadmill! Mainly walking. *hehe* Then again, when I got into the gym, I was already starting to sweat - from standing still. Prolly the heat emitted from those who were already there affected me. *shrugs*

Good food!

I came back from church to find this waiting for me. It is superrrrrrr. Lou shu fun from Mantin. Opposite the post office, beside the market. Superrrrb. Though it's better to eat the noodles there than tah pau. Still good!
[Off topic : There was once or twice(?) that I purposely bought these noodles for him because he was sick and I wanted to let him try what I really liked. At times I still think I wasted my time but y'know, at least I know I'm capable of being caring. I never got any food sent to me when I was sick. Not even a visit, let alone food. Go figure. Yay. Not.]

Mom's friend came by and she made dinner for all of us. Eight. And we had a super early dinner - not complaining though! *hehe*

Mengacau mak when she was chopping up the chicken. Quite a dangerous "stunt" in case if she turns towards me with the cleaver in hand. *haha*

The pak cham kai.

Lap cheong and mixed vegetables. Another dish I can eat everyday (I think) is lap cheong and rice. *hehe* Yea...all unhealthy options.

And work begins...

Need I say more?

It starts now. Near 7pm. On a Sunday. I'm using work's computer...thus finally checking my work email. Ooops. I completely missed 29:11's meeting.

I have LOADS of ironing to do. Three bags full? Or more? I don't know lah. I hate ironing. *sigh*

Then it's preparing to go back to KL. Pack pack pack.

Before that, work on my reports. Calls to be reported and pre-call plan needs to be done.

Mondays are especially bad when you've had 9 days off work.

I've got a bright idea! Why don't I take another 3 days off? Then it'd be end of the month. Then I can start new! New month, new sales target. I'm not even hitting 10% yet of my target for February - this is super mega bad! At least, that's what the report says (sales up to 15th February). *sigh*

---

My phone bill this month is prolly the lowest ever. RM78.75. I took the Plan75 - even if I did not use up to RM75, I've to cough up RM75. It was never below RM100. That's what I've to pay for going out with a cheapo guy (who scrimps on you but spend lavishly on others. Bah!).

Now? I guess it's because I didn't make any calls to US the last month. Yea, I use my mobile to call my mom - well, they were having this offer of 20sen a minute for calls to US (landline), why not?

Postcodes

LiMay messaged me today saying that she received the forms to proceed to the next step of the application. Wah! So fast!

I wonder if my forms would even reach on time! By the 28th of February.

I was told to Wellington it takes 3 days. If it was Auckland, it'd take only 2. If it was in the central part of Wellington, it'd be there by Tuesday.

The problem is, I'm confused with the postcodes. To-date I've got 4 possible postcodes for the courier address (they didn't have the postcode in the form!) - which I googled for it online.

The ones on the form (same address, two different postcodes! Which to caya?) was 6146 (at the top) and 6040 (at the bottom). LM used 6040 and the forms got there.

Initially when I went to DHL, I put 6040. Or rather, the guy said, "So I put 6040?"

I came home and went online (why didn't I do this earlier? But I may have gotten myself confused and not know which one to pick either!). I got a restaurant address that was on the same street - and the postcode was written as 6143. So I rang up DHL to tell the guy I passed my docs to to change the postcode from 6040 to 6143 (oh no...don't know if it's a BIG mistake. Then again, there's only one Johnston St in Wellington - and it's Wellington Central!)

As I searched further (don't ask why I bother when I've got the postcode already), I chanced upon a map thingy that lets you explore the streets in Wellington. Guess what? The postcode for Johnston St is 6011!!! Wahleu! 4 postcodes for one place? I'm confused. Postcodes don't change over time, right?

This matter is truly up to God. If it arrives in time, it arrives in time. If it doesn't...I guess LM would have to go ahead on her own. *hehe*

Experiment : Egg

Mom went to Penang and I was hungry. I tried to make fried eggs (hoh pau tan), Mom's style.

I think it came out quite well...yet mom's cooking is ALWAYS the best!

Rice and eggs. Doesn't take much to feed me. *hehe*

If only eggs didn't come with a high cholesterol level when taken regularly. *sigh*

Even more panicky

To add to my distress (it's technically SATURDAY!!! OH MY! I don't want to go back to work!!!) I just remembered that on the 8th of March, I've got an appointment with my GM. She's coming out with me on a field day's work.

*stress!*

Oh my! I forgot! Now it's coming back. I was supposed to sort out my client profiles during this break. Prepare for my field work. Choose and plan which customer to meet. Oh noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

I'm such a bummer. A big fat procrastinator. I have selective memory. I don't think I forgot. It's just that I purposely tuck it waaaayyyy back in my mind that it didn't get a chance to surface during this break. Man. I'm in trouble.

One madness after another.

Truly...God help me.

*sigh*

And I'm supposed to update my data and roll out my pre-call plan. GREEEAAATTTT!!!

Not your ordinary Friday

One thing...we need not work. "We" consists of LiMay, JoFo and I.

We spent almost the entire day doing girly stuff. *hehe* One of it was trying this mask.

Pasar Malam

I went to Blossom to get the referral letter from my old work place. I wanted to go to the pasar malam but was wondering if it would be there - it was! Although very few stalls were up, the few "vital" ones were are all I need.

One of the things I like is the pagoda that this lady sells - she deep fries them at the pasar malam itself so it's fresh hot! Crunchy on the outside, soft and warm in the inside. The last time I went there, I couldn't find here and was disappointed. I thought she left the place for good - thank God it was just the odd "off day" - wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

It's really good and I couldn't wait to get home to eat them. So, by the time I got home, from 2 packets to...

...only this!

Crunchy outside, soft inside!

Did I miss the memo?

Went out for lunch with my parents and uncle today. I think I didn't get the memo of the dress code colour being blue.

<< See? Daniel, light blue. Dai Kau Foo, dark blue.
>> Dad, light blue. Mom, dark blue.
- *haha* Didn't know by putting this photo side-by-side I'd get a sorta pseudo-panaromic picture! Looks weird because dad and mom doesn't seem to be looking at my uncle.

FeR? Yellow. Totally out.

My first yu sang of the year. I take yu sang without the yu. *hehe*

We went to this restaurant in Oakland. The food's nothing to shout about but check out the specially printed wet towels. *hehe*

As like everything else in this world, do not be deceived by looks. *hehe* Guess how old is he?

Oh my!!!

Time flies yea? And they can be sooooooooooo sneaky!

One minute I'm rushing with my mom to get the YongSheng cookies, then *poof!*

It's going to be THURSDAY tomorrow!!!

I'm glad I took three days off. Now I feel like it's not enough. *hehe*

*sigh*

So many plans for the new year but I truly spent it in the way that it should be spent - lepak and do nothing. Yet I feel a bit panicky now because I've not done the things I'm supposed to do or at least...planned/thought to do.

How?

Sleeping junkie

Ooops. Was supposed to be at Mi-Chelle's place at 12pm. Ho-hum. SKL time is about one to two hours late. FeR's time is 4 hours late. *haha*

Yeap. I arrived MC's place only at about 4pm.

I wore this t-shirt. When I bought it, Sze-Mien said that if I wanted to direct the morning traffic, then I should wear/get it. I think it's very nice because it's bright and cheery! *hehe* Perfect for CNY, no?
So you know this Digi's CNY advert that's been on TV? Heh! Yea...I'm the hou wong place/spot.

---

It was during this time at MC's place when my jaw fell to the ground hearing what YeeWon told me. I was teasing about when was she getting hitched to her bf in US...and she told me she was already engaged.

*kathunkkk!!!*

"WHEN???"

"About two weeks before I came back?"

"Why didn't say??"

*shows hands* "Well, I didn't wear the ring...don't know how to say but uhmm..."

Rumour has it that it's a one point five. Do you know how big is a 1.5?! It's HUGE! And on her dainty fingers, HUGGGGGGEEEEE!!!

Anyone wants to confirm if it's fact or fiction?

---

And I completely forgot MC's got dogs in her house now. Heard a loud bell ringing and a dog trotting by.

"Eh?! Chelle you got dog!"

"Ya! Very long ady."

The dog, Roger...is so cute. *swoon*

---

Hot topic of the day was Keat and the possibility of "something" with either MC or me. All in jest, of course. It's been sometimes since we all hung out and just chat. There was Keat, FeiKei, KahTai, Shyuan, WingHoe and Chelle. Keat mentioned that YeeWon said next year it'd be a decade since we left Form5 and we should have an anniversary reunion. One decade. 10 years!

*speechless*

Time flies. Seriously.

---

After leaving MC's house, I went to pay a short visit to Hong's parents. I don't want to be so ungrateful lah. Every year they open their house to us SKLs and we usually stay till late and make so much noise/mess. This year when Hong's not around, we tend to forget that they are also important when Hong invites us over.

Something from YongSheng - Cheese Pineapple Tarts. And some ground nuts.
Ground nuts = Fa Sang
Yau fatt, yau sang.
Don't know lah...supposedly something good.

I don't want to shave my head!

Supposed to go over to Surt's place from 9pm onwards. Being the SKL as always, I only left home after 10pm. *hehe*

Well, mom's friends popped by suddenly near 9pm and I drove dad out to pick up some food for them. Not nice lah nothing to offer them to eat - and if not mistaken, they came without dinner or something. By the time I got back, I showered and went out. Picked OiSin up from her house and went to Surt's place.

Our mission? Our dear YeeWon actually called for a "meet up" - she wants to "donate" USD to us. *hehe*

We didn't play with money but still a bit worried because no one was sure whether it was one or two table maximum allowed per household. Apa tu? Mahjong lah. So brave played in the porch summore! *hehe*

I turned into a see lai and cikgu garang when playing because some, if not most, don't really know the rules and how to count the points. *teehee!*

Don't know what were they doing. YikKeng said I always take incriminating photos. *hehe*

Dr Low and OiSin. YeeWon looks EXACTLY like how she is in Form5. Seriously. If we don't see each other for 10 years, would definitely recognise her if we bump into each other on the street. Especially if it's a NY street. *hehe*

Battle of the T-Shirts!
<< Surt said that she has her t-shirt to "chair" me in mahjong
>> Decepticon to the rescue! Uhm...tho technically, he won't. Because he's the bad guy in Transformers, no?

YeeChin, FeR. At 3.30am in Surt's place. Isn't it mad? And this woman has a 7am flight to Sibu. Greatness of mahjong and seelai-ness. Actually, we're practising to be tai tai's. *hehe* I'm glad if I ever achieve my ambition, I have so many kaki's!!!
I think this photo of us is horrible! Late night does not bring any good to your complexion. Tried and proven. Enough said.

OiSin, ChiaLing, FeR, YeeWon, Surt. YeeWon's leaving for NY on Friday.

Goofing around

Do we look thinner here? *hahahaha*
Supposedly sucking in our cheeks to make ourselves look thinner - more like looking goofier. *hehe*

A proper picture of ourselves.

LC dropped by to visit (initially she said she'd be here on the first day of CNY) in the evening of 2nd day - and her flight out was near midnight. She came at the right time when everyone was at Hong Kau Foo's place - so can layan her with my full attention lah. *hehe*

We got to go thru a bit of pictures that were in my computer and Hong's wedding CD. Not a lot but nice to look thru them with a friend - makes it fun!

*sigh*

Soon it'll be her going over to Bintulu. If all goes well, I may not be in Malaysia from next year onwards. Adois. Then again, our friendship has tested much time and space, right?

First day's house hopping

I didn't get to go to church today but my church friends came over! *hehe*

To tell the truth, my family don't practice house visiting on the first day. It's mostly family time and my mom's vegetarian dish. So I'm not used to people asking me to go over their house or them asking me if they can come over.

Also I like the peace and quiet on holidays and have been accustomed to only going around on the 3rd day of CNY - all these years

When Anne called to ask if they can come over...that's is why I "uhm-ah" at her. *hehe* One is because my little cousin just went over to join other little cousins (peace and quiet and total control over TV programmes!!! Yay!!!) and another is because I wanted to just lepak and sleep. I don't get a lot of holidays mah! I was also thinking of whether mom would be okay with it or not. I would say it was good timing because everyone went over Hong Kau Foo's place - leaving the house empty for guests to come over - if not it'd be a big headache. I ended up going to JoFo and Elaine's place after the gang dropped by! *hehe*

The gang in our house. Self-entertaining as long as there's munchies and TV. Easy peasy! *hehe* And I even got an angpow from Hazel! Yay!

Lav, JoFo, FeR

Wyn - bummmmmmm!!!

Gang at Elaine's place. Joshua, Anne, Marie, HJ, Lynne, Ann

David, Hazel (grinning ear to ear because she saw me taking this picture), Lav

---

The ferpcakes that I made? Finished by these people lah! I wonder if I should make some more? *hehe* No one else around to eat it already, I think. Am happy they actually gasak them. LC said she'd come by but in the end tak jadi - she says tomorrow. Good that I saved up 6 ferpcakes for her. *hehe*

Happy Chinese New Year!!!

May the Year of Piggy (if you're uncomfortable or want to be "politically correct" - Year of the Boar *hehe*) bring good health, good relationships, good career positions and wealth in every form!

Korkor came back for dinner yesterday night. It's been quite some time and I think mom was really happy that he kept to his promise. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Today we had mom's signature zhai choy - a dish that she prepares only once a year (and this is not because she's back once a year - it's more of it being her "signature dish" for CNY's first day). I had (still counting) FOUR bowls of it already!

Waiting for LC to come by (she said she would, or was it she may? I forgot) and I can pass her some FeRpcakes I made. Stayed up till 3.30am making two batches of them.

La la la...

Reunion Dinner

I seem to see a lot of people having steamboat dinners! I guess it's easiest (less prep and cooking - at least not from just ONE person or something) when having dinner with a large number of family members. Personally, I do not fancy steamboat. I would only take meatballs or something like that.

*hehe*

We had steamboat last year in our house porch (Brinkley was around then, we had to tie him to the grill of the sliding door and he was looking as our table longingly) and this year we went to Hong Kau Foo's new place instead - but still on the car porch! *hehe*

Aunt Sally, Mom, Dad and Aunt Sally's sister-in-law. We had two hot pots - one without pork ever touching it and one with everything porky! Naturally I chose the one with pork. D'oh. Oh...Dai Kau Foo is a Muslim, thus the separation.

Foodies before. Aunt Sally even got sea cucumber and abalone (both are items listed in the newspaper, asking us NOT to eat them) - I don't eat them. Because I don't like them.

I LOVEEEEEE prawns. Yummy! That's what I took the whole night, apart from meat balls and chinese cabbage.

Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!

*ahem*

According to my overall exam score, I'm 0.5 away from being an expert user. *heehee* Really? From the rojak I write, speak, listen (I've got problems hearing - I tend to daydream) and read (what I understand from something may not be what they are trying to tell me - overactive imagination, in the badddddd way) it's really a miracle! Heh!

Thank God! Now I can continue to pester my ex-boss for the referral letter and get the documents sent out! How to pester people during CNY? But I need the documents to GET there by 1st of March, not SENT out by 1st of March. Aiseh. Then again, the application form seems too complicated for me to handle.

Miss Yap? Help? Please? *hehe*

Application form. Urhm..working on it.
Registration cert and Certificate of good standing. Sent.
IELTS. Check.
Passport photos. Urhmm...check?
NZ$600. Urhmm...check.
Referral from colleague. Check.
Referral from employer. Ask tomorrow!

---

Every year, I "spring clean" my room. Yet...after 2 weeks? 3 weeks? The mess comes back. Why? *scratch head*

Now I've got a big task of trying to clean up EVERYTHING in a few hours. I'm lazy. Thus I'm still online not doing anything. At all.

---

Sad that once you get your salary, everything's gone because of your monthly commitments. And also for the festive season. I've spent close to 1k. Not funny. Please give me bigger ang pows this year...I'm still single and need the money to start off my home fund (reviving it?). *hehe* Tak tau malu betul. Tsk tsk.

---

I was watching the Chinese series with mom at Hazel's place on Wednesday. I heard the beep of my phone telling me that I've got a message but I didn't bother to pick it up - till I finish my food and ice-cream! *hehe*

When I finally got to check my phone, I found 3 messages. Guess what? Chickenshit decided to drop me a message. I was, of course, angry and thought, "What on earth for?!!"

Come to think of it now, why did I even think that it was "specially" written for me? I'm sure it's another one of his mass texting kinda thing. The message conveyed something in the lines of "happy valentine's day, hope you're well and happy always, take care." Whaaa...??? What for? Really.

He also forwarded text messages last Christmas, what makes this time different anyway? So my initial "anger" of him sending me a text is now gone because he just forwarded a text. Big deal. No thoughts need to be put in it. If not because Ben forwarded the same text to me before he did, I may have worked myself up into another, "WHAT ON EARTH FOR????"

Anyway, yea...why am I getting so worked up? Some may even say, "Aiyah, people now trying to be nice to you, you like that."

It's not being nice. It's ACTING nice and ACTING all "noble" to send all this nonsense.

I'm all for being friends, but not when things weren't cleared up and you being a chickenshit RIGHT until now, everything handled in such an immature manner. Like LC said, if there's any intention of being friends, a call would've been made. You don't ignore your girlfriend to the point she becomes your ex-girlfriend (because she bumped into you with another girl and hearing stories from your friends/family - without any explanation from you AT ALL) then you send her "festive" messages like as if you've been chums for ages and everything's fine and dandy. Puik.

My body is hot

*haha!*

Unfortunately not in the sense of what people would normally think of when they hear that word. *hehe*

Mom said my body was "heaty" - thus feeling unwell. I was sniffling the whole day and sneezing my insides out. While waiting for the doctor, I look like as if I'm there to see the doctor because I'm sick instead of wanting to promote my products. *hehe* And by the time they see me, I look like I'm overly grateful (my eyes were teary and red) and cried because they spared their little time with me. *hehe*

So!

Went to MV with mom after work and had liong char - also shared a bowl of gwai ling gou with her. I remember last time when korkor would always eat it because he had acne problem (??) and I think his condition did get better. Something to do with (again) body being "heaty" and gwai ling gou is "cooling" - so it helped clear his acne problems!

They give you a teapot of syrup!!! *sugar high*

Forced smile. The thing was bitter, okay! Mom said it means my body IS indeed "heaty" (or was it "toxic", also?) because if we're completely healthy, we won't taste it as bitter. Blergh.

I don't know what the shop called. Forgot.

I like the wallpaper. Gold and shiny.

---

Later at night, went to meet up with korkor for dinner. Before that, we went to collect SK's new car. I love the smell of new car!!! *sigh*

Got the VTEC one. Schweet interior. I still don't fancy the exterior.

Shy only! Mom was enthusiastic about helping me snap the picture, though!

Compared to the Kelisa's...actually, how on earth to compare? Totally out of league! The Kelisa, I mean. HUGE! I want a new car!!! *hehe*

Passed out in the car boot. *haha*
I can fit in it, lie down and sleep. Not good if it's closed - I'm slightly claustrophobic. *hehe* Seriously though...really comfty inside. Dared to do this because I saw it on FA and Suanie's site. *hehe* Was afraid I'd break the boot space before SK even sees the car. Eeeeeps!

Running around like there's no tomorrow

Yesterday KB, today Penang.

As usual, met up with Mi-Chelle. She's very obliging to take me out and send me to the airport everytime I'm there. Without me asking. *hehe* Okay lah, I also take for granted she would send me. *hehe*

When I was at PenangGH trying to kill time, I sat outside the Ortho clinic to eat my bun (for lunch, so sad!). After finishing it (didn't take 5 minutes), it still wasn't time to go see the pharmacist so I took a picture of the carta aliran of the Ortho clinic.

Very detailed "flow chart"

Even their patient registration has got a "self service" section.

Got bored waiting. Guess what? Texture of my t-shirt.

Wore like this today. I went to the airport from Seremban. I hadn't any other shirts around (in KL!) and I didn't want to wear my dark coloured shirts (which were in Seremban because I brought them back to wash. I wear one week coloured, one week whites - easier to do my weekly laundry!) because it's almost CNY mah!!!

Apparently too casual. When I was in GMC trying to see the lab manager, the nurse saw me hovering at the red line of the lab. She spoke to me in Hokkien, which I understand (slightly) but couldn't really speak it.

"You want to go in? Just change the slippers there and come in lah!"

*blur face*

"You want to go in right? That's your father right? You want to see your father?"

(thinking: Choyyyyyy!!!) "Uhm...no. I'm a sales rep, I want to see Mr H"

"OH!!! You are a sales rep?! Your dressing don't look like a sales rep!"

The irony

The last time I was in LCCT wanting to catch the flight to KB, the flight's schedule was apparently brought forward to an earlier time.

When the airline allowed me to travel on another day without charge (because it's their fault for not letting me know the change of time/schedule! No messages, no email!), on that day of intended travel, the flight is delayed.

I thought it was delayed 35 minutes (I heard flight delayed to 7.55am) - don't know why. Wasn't paying too much attention, I guess. Then again, it's 6.45am...give me a break. When I heard her tell me that refreshments would be served at 8.30am...I was still daydreaming. When she passed the boarding pass to me, I saw the freshly written boarding time - *DING!* 9.20am?!!!

So I asked, "What time is the flight delayed to again?"

"9.55am"

WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Fossil

Of a cicak.

This lizard has been on the door's ledge for AGES. Funny thing is, it didn't "fade away" or disappear like the other smaller one that was squished in between the toilet door's ledge. I didn't bother to remove it. Too disgusted to go near it! *hehe*

Told mom, "I left this for you to see!"

Puffy

This is the hyper active dog. Do not be fooled by her demure pose here.

Busy kitchen

Just finsihed TWO helpings of dinner (mom made ngah pou kai fan) and it was sooooooooooooo good. I tell you this, and I tell you seriously. Do appreciate your mothers - especially those who cooks for you everyday and cooks well (then again, my mom's cooking to me is THE BEST). I've waited one whole year to get a taste of mom's cooking. It's not even near funny. *hehe*

<< She was talking to me (and eating my FeRpcakes!) that she was a wee bit late in adding the chicken - rice was already cooked!
>> Making sure chicken is nicely placed on top of steaming hot rice.

<< Adding an egg in - dad's request.
>> She also made hoh lan shu kai - which is something I'd want her to cook HEAPS of it and freeze it so I can slowly have it as and when I want it (as long as there's no mould growing out of it *hehe*)

---

While mom was busy cooking, I was busy baking! *haha* The kitchen was very heavily utilised today. Actually, I did plan to try and make another batch of FeRpcakes but how I finally moved my lazy butt to go do it is because she asked me to go out and get ginger for her. *hehe* I was lazier to move OUT of house, so better start moving IN the house. So bad, huh? Cooking for me also I lazy to help get ingredients. Tsk tsk.

Anyway, I tried again today with another base recipe and instead of putting in mashed bananas, I put in a piece of banana in each FeRpcake. One tray had the banana piece in between the batter, the other tray was with it pressed right into the batter from the top.

I don't know if this will actually make the outcome wonky, but thankfully it didn't! *hehe* The recipe called for 2 eggs...I have 2 eggs here but 3 egg yolks, how?

<< In the background are those with bananas barely sticking out of them and the one at the fron is with the banana between the batter before I put them into the oven.
>> This is the banana wedged inside the FeRpcake.

I seriously do not know what to call it (cupcake or muffin) that's why I'm referring to them as FeRpcakes - though it should be "cupfins" because cupcake/muffin mah, right? Yea...because recipe is cupcake but the things I put in and the texture of it isn't much like a cupcake. *shrugs*

---

I personally think we had a good choir practice today. I learnt one whole new song! *hehe* And everyone knew their parts...sort of. I was a bit uncertain, so at those certain parts I kept quiet and listened to SiewLing or Lav. *hehe*

---

There's be plenty of backlogging as I've just uploaded my pictures and I've got my stories ready. Need not drive back to KL as I'm going to KB tomorrow and Penang the day after. Taking AirAsia so it'll be nearer to get to LCCT from Seremban. Then tomorrow I get to have home cooked food!!! Yay!!!

---

Look at those mini oranges! They are super sweet! Not to mention, cute!!!

Banana FeRpcakes

Was thinking about trying them out already - banana and chocolate. Quite a combo, no?

<< Mushed up bananas.
>> In the batter

Unfortunately...didn't come out well. Had to throw them away - there were like rocks, okay! Yuck! Puik.

People usually take time in between waiting to clear things - but noooooo! I take time to indulge. *hehe* PaddlePop ice-cream!

So cute!

I know Uncle Jeremy's family sent a card (actually, should I say Emily sent it? Since I recognise that it's her writing! *hehe*) but I didn't know their return address was so cute! I've seen Aunt Helen using return address labels and also Aunt Alicia...but this is really something else! You can customize the pictures and you can even add your pets in! If only I still had Brinkley, I'd definitely send more letters/cards even if it's just so I could use the return address labels. *hehe*

I may consider just ordering it when mom goes back to US - and even add Brinkley in. He is still very much part of my family. *sigh*

Anyway, more details at www.familylabels.com

This is the story

Of how a girl destroyed everything in the house in a span of 3 and a half months.

First of all, there was of course the missing dog. Which still upsets her.

<< Then there was the electric thermopot. She switched it off since she wasn't around often to actually use the thing. One fine weekend, she decided she wanted a hot drink. She washed the pot and filled it with water - only half filled, though, because she's only one. When the water was boiled, she decided..."Nah! I don't want a hot drink anymore." So she left the house for one week, forgetting to switch the pot off. The week after she arrived home on a Saturday and sees that the pot was still working (the LCD light was still on) but she didn't check the water level. After church, she came home to see the pot's light has gone off. She opened the pot - to her shock, it was empty! Could it be someone's in the house drinking her coffee? Is it that there was a trip of electricity again? She cleaned the pot again and filled it with water. Turned the pot on. Nothing happened. Pot was dead. She then realised and remembered what happened. Thank God the house was still intact!

>> So now she desperately wants a hot drink. She cleans the old whistling kettle and put it over the gas stove. She goes out and watch TV. She forgets the kettle. After a VERY long time, she remembered the kettle!!! Why is it not whistling?! She thought perhaps water went into the whistle and thus the kettle did not whistle. Hmmm...so the week after, she uses the kettle again to boil some water for a hot drink. And you guessed it! She forgot again. This time, when she wanted to open up the kettle to cool the water, the handle of the lid came off, leaving a gaping hole in the kettle's lid. Great. Just great!
Her mom told her to use the coffee maker to boil water but she was afraid that she'd spoil that too. Ever since then, she uses a pot to boil water and uses a ladle to scoop the hot water into a cup. So far she has not forgotten about boiling water.

<< The microwave has an option to boil rice. She doesn't use the rice cooker since she's alone - and it's much faster using the microwave. Out of the blue, the microwave just popped when she was boiling rice. She thought there was an electrical trip (please let it be known that the house is quite prone to that and she's not making excuses for these occurrences). Indeed it was! She flipped the switch and went back to the microwave to switch it on again. Alas. It is dead.

>> 5am plus on a Saturday morning she was online and previously she was talking to Leech about the noise that the cats were making. She don't know where the noise was coming from but she complained to Leech - asking whether it is the cats mating season because even in KL she has this problem late at night. Then CRASH!!! She went to the sliding door of the house to peep out. She saw two fat cats on the porch. She shoo-ed them but they remained still. She opened the door and then the cats ran away. She then went to sleep. By noon, she woke up...and after a while she noticed there was a white board on the porch. She wondered where did that come from and suddenly something told her to look up - behold!!! A BIG hole in the ceiling. DARN THOSE CATS!

See? These things just happened. Oh, did I forget to mention that the family car's battery went flat also? I guess once a week of driving it is not enough to keep the car running properly.

This is the "funny" story I told Haz when we went for pancakes.

The end.

Ooooo!

Went jalan-jalan with Keat because he needed curtains (or was it ideas?) and we needed a kitchen cabinet for the house. So silly. I didn't know he wasn't in Tan&Tan and nicely left KLCC, got STUCK in a jam - just to find out that his office is now in KLCC. D'oh.

Went to Ikea and at the spur of moment, we headed off to Cineleisure to watch "The Holiday". Not too bad of a movie...if only men like them exist. Okay. Keat prolly would say that I choose to like a guy like Graham because he's skinny and good looking, not Miles because of his...uhm...shape and face. Hear me out. One thing - they gave Graham more time to be in front of the screen and thus more of "showing off" his good side. I would really love to have a guy who is sensitive and that sense of responsibility - commitment, taking care of his girls. I don't know how to explain but it's just really sweet to see him with the girls (he as in the character Graham, as the father). Awww...now that is a guy worth fighting for. *hehe!*

Was supposed to meet up with Lav and Elaine (since it was Elaine who called me to ask if I wanted to catch a movie with them) - ended up meeting Lav for a late dinner at FastaPasta.

Cis!

Supposed to go to KB today but we missed out flight.
Initially when Jason called me, I thought he was just pulling my leg - telling me the gate has been closed, asking me what time is our flight to KB and telling me that the flight is at 7.20am instead of our usual 7.40am...

When I got there, true enough. KB - 7.20am. Whaaaa...?!!

Went to the information counter to kecoh. The lady told us, "Yes. It's 7.20am and your itinerary also says that it's 7.20am"

That cannot be! Because I remember when I booked the flight, time was still 7.40am - the thing is, there isn't any email or text to inform us that the flight has been changed! We wanted to know when they started changing their time schedule to KB. C'mon! Jason goes to KB almost every two weeks if not every week!

The lady asked me, "Is your number 012*******?" because she said I should've received a message. Well, no. I didn't get any heads up about the change!

And she tells me about the itinerary but I told her that the itinerary that was sent TO me is 7.40am - and of course, they asked for my print out copy...which we don't carry. I printed it out but more for means of filing in my claims. *hehe*

After waiting for about 40 minutes, she told us that the new schedule was rolled out on 30th January. Hah! She checked my booking date it was 14th January. I'm not lying!

So she got our flights changed to Monday. I had to message Eunice to tell her we weren't going to KB - she helped us get 6 boxes of oranges! Hopefully it'd be okay but I'm more concerned about troubling her to lug it into her room to store it. Whoops!

It's not funny going all the way to the airport, waking up at crazy hours to find out that we missed our flight! Thank God it was with Jason, if not company prolly thinks I overslept or something then couldn't claim my flight fare! *hehe*

Since we were super early, Jason went back to KL and I went back to Seremban for a quick dim sum breakfast with mom before going back to KL. *hehe*

---

Went for cell and we had ju sui!!! So much liu! We ended up having a discussion on something else instead of the lesson! *hehe*

We decided that we'd have TeoChew ice-cream next Wednesday!!! So it'd be a sweet affair for Valentine's day, I guess.
It's not as disgusting as you think it is. You know TeoChew porridge? Where you have plain porridge and you have all the different things to go with it? So TeoChew ice-cream is basically having plain ice-cream but with different TOPPINGS to go with it. Good huh? Anyone up for it?
It's more of a fellowship time next week, no lesson! It should be fun! If mom's with me, I'd bring her along.

Oh! I'm now a member of FF! No more thinking and debating. Finish. Done.

Second day of new job

Not me, but LC. Since I've not seen her in ages (she went missing before her bro's wedding and after - for about 2 weeks?) and if we were to talk about, "see when we're free", we'd never meet. Seriously, when you start working...everything's about effort. No such thing as "oh I'm free when and when" - it's more like, "Okay. Set. This date and time, be there." Sadly, it's more like having to "book" your time with friends. I'd say if I don't block off time for these things, I'd never ever do it. Or if I keep thinking I'm tired, etc...I'd never go out and meet them. Tried and tested.

Wow! Off topic!

Anyway, I went to KLCC earlier to get details from the FF branch there and also to get a timetable booklet - how come all of the outlets are out of it?! Well, okay. I only went to two outlets, Curve and MenaraMaxis. *hehe*

Met LC and we decided to go to Chilli's - me for the juice and her for the "there! That fries-cheese thing you ordered last time?"

<< Look at her cheeky face! A waiter came by to tell us, "No outside food allowed" - knowing LC, she imitated the "no outside food" and proceeded to put the entire piece of chocolate into her mouth. There. Gone. Now it's INSIDE food. Is that allowed? *hehe*
>> Our "main dish" - triple play

<< I think it was Texan style fries(?) - initially they gave us tortilla chips! Because we said chips with cheese on top...kena cakap french fries woik.
>> Makan also busy on the phone. *hehe* Doesn't she look grim?

---

She couldn't wait for Keat to arrive so I waited for Keat and joined him at CaliforniaKitchen. I just sat and look at him eat. *hehe* Had a drink and tarraaa! No happy hour! Flying to KB tomorrow!

Quick!

I need to know how to get rid (by using, not throwing it out lah!) of my blusher. Pronto! *haha*

Because I can't wait to start on Benetint.

Actually, I can't wait to start off with new facial care - that's more important. Like in one of the episode of GOL, Ros mentioned about the importance of having good skin, good hair and good teeth - then you'd look good! Good skin is definitely on top of list. I gave up coffee at one time (but forgot whether or not there were any improvements on skin condition!) but to give it up now seems...more difficult. Well, actually I just plain don't want to. *hehe*

So good skin, here I come after you! Two weeks. Hopefully I'd see some difference!

Oh...and mom's so efficient (and also too eager!) that I've got my yoga pants already. I actually saw the pants online at VS (clearance sale!) but knowing mom, she just went ahead and got these really nice (but expensive!) pants - though her justification was that they were 25% off. I think I'd order online for the ones I saw on the website. Shcweet.
I've also put in a redemption for a yoga mat (took this advice from Sze-Mien *hehe*) - the funny thing is that I've not decided where I'd go yet! Well, at least I've got the right things on hand first. Phbbbt! Anyway, I want to do pilates. Not yoga. It's just that those things that I've got are named that way.

2nd frame - Benefit(s)!!!
3rd frame - Jacket from Forever21. Told her to look out if there's a sale or not and she just bought it anyway. *hee!*
4th frame - Gap jeans

1st frame - VS bra tops
2nd frame - More baby polo t-shirts
3rd frame - DORITOSSSSSSS!!!
4th frame - Sour worms and Jelly Beans

1st frame - Peppermint cocoa and fibre capsules
2nd frame - See's Candies. It's chocolate inside

It's time!

My computer's clock tells me it's 2.20pm and my parents should've touched down in KLIA!

Oh no! The kitchen and garden still spells disaster! And I'm online, in the midst of my slapping messy (and prolly dirty! *hehe*) room. Rancangan tergendala and operasi mengemas failed big time. The only thing I got to do is to wash the curtains and hung up new ones. Pah!

It's always like this. I take a day off to either get some things done or just relax, I usually end up not feeling well. Aunty Jo said that as the body relaxes, everything shuts down (or something like that) but the problem is, I didn't even take this day off to relax! And I've been running around non-stop for the past week.

I'm not at the airport because the battery's flat. *hehe* I guess I'd wait for them to be back before scooting to the shop to get a new battery to replace the current one. I changed the battery by myself the last time and almost killed my toes when I dropped the super duper heavy batt on the floor. *hehe*

So I'll just wait at home for them. If mom wants to use the internet...well...she has to bear with sitting in the middle of my mess and junk. I want to go and send my car for servicing but am afraid the parents have no house keys. Hmmm...

2.26pm now...I'd better get cleaning. If they arrived on time, they'd be back home soon.

Disconnected

Well, I've got LOADS running thru my head everyday and I make a mental note, "I shall blog about this."

Then I get home and forget. Or rather, I continue my daily activities (work lah) then I forget...doesn't even last till I get home. *hehe* Having no internet connection (yet) in my new place isn't very helpful either. Although I've been going to the office rather often, it's more of checking work emails and synchronizing my data.

I want to write about going out with Haz, installation of our stove, Puffy (the dog), BritishCouncil, cell, IELTS exam, outing with Sze-Mien and TC (on different days), the funny story I told Haz (where I wrecked a lot of our home's electrical appliances - in my defence, it's really not my fault!), headache+neckache, me contemplating on YZ or FF for pilates - yea...stuff like that. Not of your interest but mine. I've got one "thought-provoking" one but I'll write it sometime later.

Probably will slip it in according to the date of event - back blogging.

Now I'm just waiting for another 12 hours to pass before mom arrives! I'm excited! But I'm also afraid that I'm slightly more excited because of the goodies I know she's bringing home. *hehe!* Also to see her...it's been a year, okay! Yet I'm feeling a bit sad because Brinkley is not here to greet her. To her it may seem like just yesterday because the last time she saw him was the last time she was in Malaysia. Now it's like *poof* All gone. I hope he is well...I'll see him in heaven, all dogs go there, ma right?

Oh. Puffy is BoonLeong's dog. Not mine. I don't think I can love another dog when my heart is still filled with Brinkley. I thought of him on Friday night when I couldn't sleep. I cried to sleep that night and the day after was my written exam. Hero. *sigh*

A day out with TC

After my exam (which was terrible! LiMay asked me NOT to day dream and I did exactly that! *haha*), went to pick TC up from her house and went for meatballs!!! I'm glad she liked my gift. Hope it'll be of good use! *hehe*

It was just the two of us, jalan-jalan and lepak. Joanne said she would call us when she's done but didn't hear from her the whole day.

I'm actually doing no justice for not writing down more details but this is what happens when you're tired and have a lot on hand. Sorry TC!

<< WinterWarmers at TheCurve.
>> TC's fruity tea? Something that tasted like fruit punch. Yup.

<< TC happy with her drink! She ordered it because she likes the cutesy glasses!
>> Tray of tea set.

<< My pot of tea. Horrible because it's not hot! When I added the creamer it, it didn't dissolve. Instead it became lumpy in my drink! Yuck!
>> Me looking happy as if I'm drinking cocktail. *haha*

<< TC put this mask on me. So nice and relaxing! I wish I could for a facial every week!
>> Missy under the chair because I guess I looked pretty scary in that green goo. *hehe*

Chillin' before the exam

It started off with an innocent message of, "Bz? Up 4 eggs n toast?" at 3:23pm from Sze-Mien.

Are you kidding? Eggs and toast wor! Anytime! Bring it on! *hehe* Also I told her she could help me "stooody" - and as all can guess, we didn't do any studying. Not really. At all. Perhaps we look thru the question in the IELTS book for about 10 minutes? *hehe*

Picked her up after work and headed to Ikano. Saw UncleLim but both of us (we make such a pair! *hehe*) do not like to move out of our comfort zone - thus we decided better stick to KluangStation (well, I chose Ikano also because the KluangStation is not as noisy as the one in OneU).

Other than eggs&toast with hot cham, we each had a main meal each. Such pigs!

<< First thing I noticed when she got onto the car is that she had this cute pair of earrings. I hinted that I wanted it! *hehe* She then took it out and said, "Okay. Nah, for you to take a picture." Cis!
>> The very pink deco of TheCurve. We went to Borders to lepak. Instead of studying or even looking at books related to the exam, I went to look for Marley&Me and books on cooking/baking and entertaining!!! Goodness!

<< SM with pink background.
>> FeR with pink background.

Ended up not only did we not study, I stayed out late with her chatting at Starbucks of SS15. *hehe* Well, we were talking and talking and when we arrived at her house, we were still yakking. I stopped in front of her house perhaps for about 10mins? Somewhere there - in the end decided, what the heck. I'd go out for a drink rather than sitting in the car in front of her house. This is so wrong. Lovebirds gone wrong. *haha!*
