Bi-annual meet

Feels like it. *hehe* In a way it's good and in another way, it's bad. Good because you have non-stop of things to talk about. Bad because you realise you weren't there when they go through the things they're telling you now.

I'm talking about meeting up with my cousin. It's really good to just meet and chill (without 8-kua 'flers around) - not needing to think/care about what others think/say. To me, you can't choose your family - even if you're not happy with it, you make the best out of it. As long as you love them, you've done your part. If there are those who still gossip about you, give you the short end of the stick...I don't know. I realise I can just shrugs it off (so far lah) because they are family.

Side track : God wants us to honour our parents. Yet it's difficult when you know one is not right with God (I'm not only saying that they don't believe in God in the way I do - it's more to do with what they DO that is definitely not in God's list of honourable things) - you struggle in between honouring (respect) and not (not respecting - because of the things they do, you know definitely it's NOT worth any respect). I am not making sense but basically, family is still family.

I arrived late *eeeps* and the first to acknowledge my presence was non other than Missy! Missy-poo! Then it was TC with a bob! Phewwitttt!!! A lot of people are with a bob these days (then again, TC had hers cut about a month ago!) - SuQuin, Callie, Janice, ShwuYan, LiLin. So the fashion, huh? I'll stick with trying to grow out my fringe ASAP. *sigh*

TC offered to drive and we first went to Taipan to drop something off for her friend. She had sorethroat, so it was decided we go for sushi. *hee!*

How many times ady?

*shrugs*

I don't mind!

TC, FeR. My head looks so big compared to hers. *hee!*

Missy-poo! Such a poser!

"Wah! So big! Are you sure it's not a vase?" - was what I told/asked TC when I was sipping my water.

THE LOOT! *ahem*

End of story.

P/S : Take care yea babes. By the way, I guess being close to Manda does make you two behave/gesture/talk/laugh almost the same? *hehe* Just thought I'd write it here to let you know because I forgot to answer you just now. Or perhaps you weren't looking for an answer. *hehe*

Free Cell

When we have 5 Friday's in a month, we would have "free cell" on the last Friday. Since our KL cell is on Wednesday, we would just follow the Seremban's cell schedule lor. If "free cell" for that week, then it's "free cell" for us also lor. And I wonder how "free cell" came about - never bothered asking (just know that it means no lesson! *hehe*) until Danny asked. *paiseh*

Initially there was a suggestion to go out for grubs (which is the only time we could go out and eat! Then Sally/Hazel/Daphine can have a break from preparing food for us) but in the end, it was decided that we get food from out and have a quiet night in with (board)games.

*beams*

I've never won Monopoly before, as far as I remember! And I did today. *hehe*

Old fart

Have not been for BodBal in the LONGEST time - and I went today. The new launch definitely had a lot of "squats" - my legs were wobbly after one session. Talk about low endurance.

I'm not particularly crazy over doughnuts but after so many reviews, so many blog entries that I've read about the Big Apple Donuts&Coffee, I went after gym to get a box. Yeap. A box - one dozen. From what started as, "Aiyah, I'll just get half dozen. Bring it home for others to try also." As I stood there, I knew I wouldn't be happy with just 6 to choose. So yeap.

"Uhm...I think, make that one dozen."

And there goes...the power of "word of mouth" - coincidentally I saw an article on "Making your customers your best sales rep."

Took this picture in the car. While waiting for JoFo, I ate two!

All nice in the plastic carrier but in actual fact; before the box got home, 4 already consumed. Not by me alone lah! One for JoFo, one for Mearn.

Giving instructions to housemates in case I don't see them in the morning. *hehe*

Gym? Huh? What gym?

Night out with two headless 'flers.

Hole in pocket

RM350.90 - the highest amount yet for my car. Just two weeks about I forked out RM160. *sigh* How to afford anything else lah? Apparently brake pads were also "dangerously" thin - so that got changed too. The last time I changed it was August 2006.

And there, this lady was complaining about having her brake pads changed "so fast" - after ONLY 2.5 years. Pfft. She was told it's based on mileage, not by duration of time (even if it is, 2.5years is quite long, no?!). She was indignant, saying it's only at 21000km and 2.5 years. Hello? My car is also 2.5 years and it's mileage is now at 78000+ !!! Stop complaining, it's only RM70. That makes it RM2.33 a month! Pfft.

Came back to see this! So LauraAshley! From Keat's place - the parents got a new set. Good news for us!

See! Can laze...*hehe*

Happy Birthday AuntyJo!!!

FeR, Jocelyn

Should've heard us singing her the birthday song before choir practice. UGH! You would've expected better from the choir...*teehee!* Buat lawak only!

I asked her what would she like to have and she said, "Boiled egg also can one!" So I decided to make hung kai tan for her, like how mom would make two for me on my birthdays (sadly, I've not received it for a few years now because she's not in Malaysia). Notice that there is one egg that just "refused to dye".

Why?!

Why did Burke leave? I thought he's sure?! This is what happens? You walk away and not give her another chance? Why did George fail? Is he really leaving his medical career? Is he really not giving himself a do-over? Is it THAT bad for his ego? Huh?! Why was Bailey over-looked? Or is Torres really THAT more senior?

WHY?!

Gimme Season4, please? Episode25 of Season3 left my jaw hanging. Pfft.September 2007 for Season4 is too far away. TOO FAR AWAY!!!

---

I googled for it. So George is going to repeat his intern year but there is no role of Burke! Apparently the actor got fired - but the character was so lovely. *sigh*

Oh...in the special episode (the highlighted some clips and moments), Bailey said she was 47 "MONTHS" pregnant. I don't think that's possible. *hehe* I wonder how that got past editing. Then again, I didn't realise it when I watched the actual episode. *hehe*

Lazy Friday

Ealry in the morning (ok lah, 9am. Not THAT early) we had a meeting. ShwuYan sporting a new hairdo and on the right is SeokBing, my batch mate.

Later on in the evening, I messaged JoFo to see if she's up to having Japanese food. *hee* I told her I was craving - which is a bit weird because this would be the 3rd time in this week.

Went to Ikkyu again - this time they gave us octopus instead of beancurd.

My bento set - sushi+tempura.

My kind friend. *hehe* Came all the way to TamanDesa to teman me.

Me slurping tea. Yum!

I was prepared to watch Grey's Anatomy when I got home. Dilly dally, I ended up reading the newspaper and playing BeachVolleyball on Keat's PS2. *hehe* I must try to get through level 5 and 6!!! *hmmmph*

I'm not pathetic.

That was what Lav told me when I called her again. To apologise for asking her out, then cancel then calling her up again because I felt bad - to ajak then cancel because I didn't want to wait for her.

I was amused. She said that ever since Esther got married, I've been calling/messaging her often. Deiiiii! You invite me for dinner; I say busy, I kena scold eksyen. Now I make time for you, you say you're not pathetic. Make up your mind, woman!

In the end, I went home and pick her up at about 9pm? Thought of just heading to OneU but she invited her colleagues and there were already in Ikano. So I got to meet other auditors - Elaine, LingYing(?) and Rachel.

LingYing(?) shared a joke. Something to do with a robber and an auditor. After knowing that the one being robbed is an auditor, the robber left - "Hah? Auditor ah? Nevermind lah - no money and no life one." And they all laughed. Hmmm...*hehe*

This was at McD's beside Ikea. JoFo was on the way but by the time she got there, everything was closed. She didn't have anything yet so we suggested McD's - Lav and I wanted ice-cream! *hehe*
*wiggle eyebrows*
I wonder who is that on the phone? No wonder she didn't bother to call us even though she'd arrived earlier. La la la!

In light, everything's different

See? This is how the hotel is supposed to be like. Not creepy. *hehe* Last night when I was about to doze off to sleep, I heard a clicking sound from the door. Since I can't see the door from my bed, I was contemplating whether to get out of bed to "check it out" or not. Yea...chicken hearted me. Before I got my guts to move and take a look, I prayed for protection. I asked for protection from both man and spirit - I don't think either is good at all! I jumped out of bed and went to the door. Nothing also! There wasn't any peep hole, I didn't risk it by opening my door to look either. I went back to bed. I can only tell you that I didn't rest that well.

You can buy their deco's. Oh! Another thing why it's creepy? They have all these photos, OLD photos of peranakan family and sort. Very nice in day time, night...it's a different thing. *hehe*

Breakfast! Nothing fancy but I like! As long as they've got eggs, I'm okay. Plus, the coffee is really kopitiam coffee - not instant coffee. Something different from other hotels.

------

Hendry shared this ice-breaker with us during cell. Made us all laugh like gila. *bangga* I was the first to guess who was "on my forehead" correctly without any other prompting. *hehe* Mine was the PM.

Don't try to be a hero.

Okay. I chose to stay here this time because I kinda like the concept of boutique hotel mah - quaintly looking from the outside, I expected the same inside lor. RM59 inclusive of breakfast - what would you expect? It's okay lah but I didn't feel that safe because the door is just your ordinary door - not the kind in other hotels where you can only open from one side (and the other side needs a key to be slotted in before being able to open the door). If you forget to lock your door, that's it lah.

Dinner. I was craving for something. Don't know what - but I guess meat will do the work. So much for trying to eat less meat.

I really like the bag. *hehe*

Cutesy boxes. I've never taken Nando's out of the restaurant before. Actually I think I did once...but I don't remember it being this cute. *hehe*

Kinsahi

At Plaza Pelangi.

Came here for business lunch. *ahem* Cannot look too jakun by snapping too many pictures.

My bento set. A little bit of everything! Yum!

When the waitress explained about this fish, I was all blur. I only understood/heard/registered a few things - can have it as sashimi, later can cook, very fresh, flown in today, want to try? *hehe*

Experiment sushi

Dad actually thanked me for it. Wasn't fantastic - was disappointed because I expected better results. Nevertheless...it's a first attempt!

Happy Father's Day!

Quite the horrible looking but edible. I've tried. *hehe* Wasabi is more terra than the ones you get from restaurants - apparently the ones in restaurant more of mustard with green colouring. I read the ingredients - also got mustard what! *shrugs*

We presented our two songs (finally) today. JoFo and my shoes.

Semangat

Candy called me, asking if I'm free on Saturday - she mentioned that we needed more girls to be at the practice. I told her if it's just for that, no problem. Please do not ask me to be in a competition.

In the end, Alvin told me he actually asked Candy to come for practice - then it got tai chi-ed to me. *heh*

I don't remember playing badminton after SportsCentre. Hmmm...if my memory didn't fail me, that's about 5 years!!! Because when they up the entrance fee to a pound, we didn't go anymore (partly also because it was our final year already). Can't blame me for having tangan lenguh after today, right?

Aveline, FeR. All sweaty.

The guys. KuangHuei, DrLim, Juan, Alvin.

Aveline - our sole female player. *hehe* DrLim, Aveline, Alvin, Brian.

------

This was the first accident on the highway back to Seremban. There were two after this bus incident. Second involved a few cars (5? 6? I don't know) and the last one (the BMW koyak-ed, okay! Was a BAD accident) was not too far away from the second accident - so I was CRAWLING back to Seremban (plus, it was raining heavily).

Eggs

Why are quail eggs grey-ish in colour?

In the end, Surt and I bummed at home watching Grey's Anatomy. *hehe* No Shrek for us because couldn't book the extra ticket last minute. I only wanted to book one ticket - I was advised to "state a lower quantity" - was I supposed to highlight "0"? *heh!*

------

And I raked my brains trying to remember where I "misplaced" the bag of makeup+face care. See? It sits there seeking comfort from the teal coloured "tool bag".

TianChun/ChunTian

In the shop that Sally recommended.

For this! Hor fun - but the coffee from the next shop is better.

------

On the first night I got my instant noodles, I was also looking for iced lemon tea. I couldn't find the "normal" one - it was either green or red. I don't really fancy green tea that's sweetened so I went for the red. Yum! This is me with the 3rd bottle - I had one bottle a day. *hee*

Consider this...

Got a call just now discussing "harmonious working". Tsk tsk.
There is a reason why they say "Keep it simple."

Bumped into July today and am actually inspired to even THINK of taking clinical pharmacy. Am I beginning to love what was first disliked (because it was chosen for me)?!! I am growing up! *haha* I didn't even know you can do it part-time! Up to 4 years to complete the course.

Let me think about it...

---

Penang Road's. Lav, this was when I called you and told you where I was. *hehe*

---

525pm - couldn't start my car. Battery flat. First thing that came into mind - THANK GOD I was in the hospital parking lot. Someone reminded me (was it MC? I forgot) that I should thank God that it didn't happen when I was at a highway rest stop or something. Indeed.

So I had to wait this man called AhBoon.

---

The last time I forgot my clothes. This time I forgot my make-up and face care products. Great. No one commented that I look pale or horrid or anything like that - I guess the facials paid off?

This is going to be for two days. Bare!

View - the same as the last time I stayed here.

Mi-Chelle came and pick me up from the hotel - we went just down the road to have some local food. I wanted to have asam laksa - it's been a while (though I come to Penang once a month).

Initially we couldn't find the stall selling asam laksa but we definitely smelt the asam. We asked one of the people from the coffeeshop but he said there wasn't any stall selling asam laksa - but trust MC to find it for me! Yay! Satay, asam laksa, popiah and loh bak.

My rescue today when battery went flat. *hehe*

Penang again

One lonely fluff of cloud.

On the highway to Penang, one gigantic biawak was in the middle of the road. I was on the right lane and almost went over its tail. Chuh! And the fella selambaonly - I think dia ingat as long as it keeps quiet and don't move, then nothing would happen. Chuh!

---

Edited 12:46am (June 14th)

Come all the way to Penang to crave for instant noodle in the middle of the night. 7Eleven was right beside the lobby. Schweet.

Lookie. Apparently this hotel is where the MAS crew puts up their nights in Penang - and I was staying on their "executive" floor.

Faith

You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.
Matthew 21:22

I read this yesterday and I know God doesn't back out on His word/promises.

You know what I asked You yesterday. I know You heard me. I know You know even the things I've yet to say and ask. You see through me and know what I want even when I, myself am not sure.

You know I believe. You know I know You're an AWESOME God. I believe You're above all authority. I believe if You only whisper a very very soft and tiny "Yes", everything will come to pass. I trust in You for everything, in Your way of teaching me. I may not understand but I accept this fact because Your way is definitely higher than mine. As long as my trust is in You, I'm in good hands.

Cheater

I was called a "cheater" on Literati. You know why? Apparently I "searched" for the word, thus I cheat. Because she hasn't heard of "sherbets" before. I was indignant! She asked me what it was, I told her it's a sweet (because I really like Trebor's Lemon Sherbet sweet - that is where I learnt of that word).

Later I searched for it and it says that sherbet is a frozen dessert, in the manner of sorbet.

Literati has this chat box thing at the bottom. I couldn't NOT read what she types, which was basically acting all childish by typing "cheater cheater cheater" JUST BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT IS SHERBET!!! Apparently I can choose to ignore her typings (which I learnt how to later on, taught by a very nice opponent) but then I am not happy to play with a person with such mentality - so I left the game. If you are the host of the table and your opponent leaves, a pop-up message would come up asking what you want to do with the game - wait for opponent to come back or force resignation (which means, the host would "win"). I wonder if this is her tactic of getting people to leave and then she wins. Pfft.

Her ID is siu_ing2001. I thought perhaps I was playing with someone who didn't know better - mana tau when I searched for it - she's a grown woman! Harlow?!!

Just because someone knows some word you don't, doesn't mean they cheat! I don't need to "cheat" because even if the word doesn't exist, I could still put all the tiles up and click "submit". If it doesn't exist, a pop-up message would tell me and I would need to try another word. Why would I need to "cheat"? Pfft.

Now I want to play Scrabble with a real life person. Any takers? I've got a travel edition. One of my favourite things to do while having coffee would be playing Scrabble. I used to have a partner for Scrabble, now thinking about it makes me angry that such memories are spoilt. SPOILT.

Anyway. Yea. Takers?

Newlyweds

Newlyweds

Cheeky newlyweds

This is the second night we went into their room/suite to kacau them but tonight, we were invited to go meet them instead of us waiting around in hotel corridors. *hehe*
Just before we left (at about 1230am?), they were asked...

"You mean you guys...?"

No wonder Esther seem to look different. Lav said it's the "glow"

*hehe*

*wiggles eyebrows*

------

Edited

Steven says
"My plan was just to get 3 months experience here and go home."

Esther says
"He has done his home work wayyyyyyyy before hand."

Steven says
"I had an eye for her."

Esther says
"I like the way you pray."

Steven says
"I chose the blurrest to probe."

Esther says
"I was not sure because talked a lot about his sister and his cats."

Steven says
"I thought they looked similar, then they ate from each other's plate."

Esther says
"So weird, want to leave why have to look for me?"

Steven says
"I just wanted to test her."

Esther says
"He said there is something something something lah"

Apparently it ALL started when he spotted her with David (whom he thought was her bf) at CoffeeMug. Steven was there with Alexis. After probing around, he found out that David was her brother. *hehe* Then there was a time when Aunty Cynthia had a party or something - when Steven wanted to leave, he was looking for Esther. Esther found that weird. That was when she thought something was different.
Then it was KL cell. Initially Hazel arranged transportation for Steven (who was then staying in Cheras) - then it switched to Esther picking/sending him. Steven doesn't have a car because he meant to be here only for 3 months. *hehe* Also because he's actually from Australia and he came here to work. Think SMART tunnel. Esther stays in BU but she would send Steven ALL the way back to Cheras. Even though Johnny offered to send him. Steven says he asked Esther "just to test her". Lav and Anne says "But it's Esther! She would send anyone!"
Then there was the infamous JalanAlor dinner thing where Esther disappeared from the face of the earth and no one could get to her phone. Lav sounded indignant because it was THEIR (Esther & Lav) makan place. *hehe* Inevitably, Lav became the "ex". At that point of time, Lav also knows that they (Esther & Steven) emails each other at work.
Then there was the email asking, "Is there something on between us?"

The rest?
The rest is what they call history.

All this was "extracted" from other people because I wasn't working in KL then.

Steven planned to kick us all out of their suite by 9pm. All of us arrived at 830-845pm? *haha* And their parents called to say they are coming over. In the end, we left at 1230am. So much for kicking us out to rest early. *nyetnyet*

Two wonderful couples!

CONGRATULATIONS ROE & JU!!!
Sorry I couldn't make it to Sabah. I hope you guys had a great day to remember by. I hope Ju's relatives made Roe call each of them by Chinese family titles!!! *haha* And too bad I'm not there to laugh at him. *hehe*

CONGRATULATIONS ESTHER & STEVEN!!!

I dare say this is truly God's divine intervention. *hehe* Will miss you two when you leave for Aussie. A lot of people's response would be, "You hardly see them anyway!"
It's just different lor and you'd definitely be missed.

The man who finds a wife finds a treasure, and he receives favor from the LORD.
Proverbs 18:22 (NLT)

See how happy Steven looks!

Justin and Shane went on stage for scripture reading. They were so cute! Shane's voice is very pleasant and Justin's part is greatly influenced by drama practices. *hehe*
The chosen scripture was the whole chapter 13 of 1st Corinthians.

If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn't love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God's secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn't love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it, but if I didn't love others, I would have gained nothing.
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever! Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture! But when full understanding comes, these partial things will become useless.
When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly as in a cloudy mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
Three things will last forever-faith, hope, and love-and the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13

Wasted

Took the day off and there was some issue that crop up at work. I JUST arrived Seremban and got called up to go to SJMC. Mana boleh? Had to do everything through phone calls. Angry at certain person because I asked for help (that person was the only one who could help and is relevant to my drug's portfolio) but got asked in the manner of, "What for?"

I took the day off to go to the bank. I JUST made it before they closed. *hehe* In the end, what I needed to get wasn't even there! How? As far as I know, it wasn't even nearly as relaxing as I expected my day off to be. *sigh*

I started to play WordRacer and Literati once again. *hehe* Not so good, seeing that it's near 12am and I need to be at Esther's place at 8am tomorrow to become ji mui's.

Happy Birthday BoonLeong!!!

We went out for dinner and thereafter to LowYat for K-oke.
Apparently birthday boy doesn't like k-oke much. Keat tried to loan a mahjong set but couldn't. Takkan do nothing after dinner, right? So off we go!

So he hugs his jug of beer and hear us sing. Keat looks bored because it's not his selected songs yet. *hehe*

Keat and I took Friday off. I don't know about him but I was already sleepy at 1130pm. What time did we leave? 230am? Somewhere there.

More here - photos and sort.

Tak Fok

Went to have dinner with colleagues after work - crabs in Kepong. It's the exact same place that Elaine, Lav, and I went on the first day of work in KL.
This dinner was sort of like a farewell dinner for SuLeen, as she is leaving the company. HuiPing is taking over her position. There was John, HP, SL, Gan, Irene, Sam, Caroline and I.

John said, "You take some more pictures, I will hit you."

Front - yummy lai liu har. Back - curry squid.

"Cheese" crabs - but the sauce tasted like cream of mushroom. Cheh! Mau cheese crabs, come to Seremban! Now THAT'S cheese crab.

Salted egg-yolk crab. This is yummy! *hehe*

One of the "groaners" when I took out my camera, Caroline. This is her attacking the claw.

The only person I "openly" snapped pictures of was John, the rest DEMANDED that I don't take their pictures because they don't want to be nagged of eating "unhealthy" food. *hehe*

John was sitting on my left and after a while, I heard him said, "Ngor fong pei ler."

"WHAT?!! Hey! Don't fong pei here!"

Then he moved his chair and I was shocked! I didn't know he was so open about it - summore chose to stand up and do so. *haha* THEN only it struck me - "Ngor fong hei ler" - he gave up on eating the crabs because it took too much effort. Pfft. Trust me to mis-hear everything.

Before leaving to Kepong, got time to take picture of self summore. I have good and bad hair days now after I curled my hair. I would like to think that this is a good messy.

Taipan

This is the second week that JoFo didn't join us. This is also the second week we ate at Taipan. *hehe* I ordered from the tai chow both times! First time was Cantonese fried, this time it's Hokkien fried.

It was also where we bumped into LimKheng. He actually remembered my name and he remembers Sze-Mien as "not LiMay, the other one." *haha*

So much for kam fei. Pfft.

Congratulations!

Congratulations BoonWei&Douglas!!!
I don't really know Doug (the first time I met him was during LeeYen's wedding!) but from the way he presented his speech, with the mention of the first person he honours - we'd know Boon is in good hands.

I know the rest calls her Wei, but I like to call her arrrr Booooooon!!! She's the perfect example of never a bad day. Maybe she's really like that or maybe I don't see her enough but the impression that she gives me is that she's always enthusiastic and joyful.

God bless you both as you embark on the next phase of your life, together as one, husband&wife.

This is why...

...I don't really want the attendants to "help" me.

I've never paid more than RM50 for my little car. And the jarum has never been over the mark. When the amount rolled and stopped at RM50.49 (or something like that - definitely less than RM51), I thought he was going to round it up to RM51. I was just too stunned to remember my manners and blurted loudly, "Oi! Cukup ah!"

Ooops.

---

Foh pat dui phan. *hehe*

This time my tempura looks so sad and soggy.

Yup! It's Friday! Yay!!!

HuiPing's first free weekend. HP, Sze-Mien and I went to Starbucks to help SM prepare for her evaluation - how to fight/demand nice. *hehe* Next time when it's our time to do reviews/evaluation, we should get together once again - Asian mentality mah, won't see the good things you have one.
