I don't remember

...what I wanted to write about. It was a short sentence but a *cough*profound*cough* one - when will I get that kind of inspiration again?

Since I don't remember, I will just jot down some random things since I'm already on this page.

1. There are kittens stuck in between the roof and ceiling...AGAIN. They are a noisy bunch!

2. My neck aches.

3. I wish I was the one flying off tomorrow.

4. I wonder if there's a big secret to having it all.

5. I should've taken pictures of the cards before sealing them in their envelopes.

6. I don't think I'm fitted for my current job.

7. But I don't know what else I can do/work as.

8. There must be more than just this.

9. Why does it take 10,000 years just to copy a few folders of pictures into a disc?!

10. I feel really...low...after coming back from US. It's not (just) post-holiday blues. It's a few things in one. Just too overwhelming that I feel helpless and hopeless.

11. If anyone bothers checking/reading, you may have noticed I've been "silent" lately. I'm brooding. Don't mind me. I'll bounce back soon by posting back-blogs.

12. I hate ironing. Really.

Abandoned...

That's the feeling, huh?

*hehe*

I was lazy to drive. Anne was the one who was really "abandoned" by this group who went out for lunch before our first combined practice.

Now you see...

Guess which part of the fish was this?
Wiped clean by dad.

The head.

Bonding time!

More like last-minute time!
Had dinner together with the cousins before Julie+Ronald flies back to Holland. Had dinner at this place called PantaiSeafood. It's my first visit there but I think TC mentioned she's been there many times - it's one of her family's favourite places.

Ronald, Julie - with their respective "tea"

Missy poo!

TC treated us all to facials! Wheeeee!!! Joanne and I had to look "cool" because we had our masks on mah.

[Talking about cousins...I just realised that I didn't take any pictures of Zach. I THOUGHT I did during breakfast at Denny's. Did someone fiddle with my camera?!]

Anyway, we started our facials near 12am!!! We only left Julie's place at about 3am. Madness, no? Was more worried for TC because she had to work later while the rest of us could just bum and sleep in.

Thanks for the facial, TC! I may need some "follow up" sessions. *wink*

Renovation

Before packing...didn't really know where to start. Things were EVERYWHERE!

Done! Threw out a lot of things, too. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt me in the likes of..."Where are those consignment approvals from 3 years ago? Where are the files of the campaign from 2 years ago? Where are those slide kits???"

I will drop on the floor and die.

Seriously.

Timing

Is it good or bad?

I'm supposed to be out of KL this week but because of the meetings on Thursday and Friday (which I only found out this morning), I had to reschedule. I don't like one of these meetings - for that it is quite bad lah.

There is no cell this week because there's a combined cell meeting on Friday AND LyeChan arrived from Bintulu today. Now that's the good side of this timing.
[The free dinner is an added bonus! *hehe*]

Although this is only my 3rd visit (but hey! Every visit it was a different outlet!), at least I'm over the taking-picture-with/of-the-mug phase. *hehe*
This is LC - smaller sized than ever!

The theory of dai peng face - the one nearest to the camera is always the victim. Either that or it's just a plain fact that my face is already in its dai peng stage.
LC asked, "You used to have very strong will when you said you were going to lose weight, what happened?"

-_-"

Not helping, lor...though it DOES say something. I'm also wondering where it all went. Must stick to the plan!

While LC and Surt was chattering, I amused myself.

---

Completely off topic.

Spot the odd one out!

Though it's "odd" but it's still in the same colour code! AuntA passed it to me, along with the medicated clearing gel - the gel works wonders, I tell you! No more blackheads.
Problem is, Surt tells me they've "banned" this product. If I'm not mistaken, I think I've heard about them discontinuing this product. I look thru their products online and I think the closest match to this product so far is the overnight clearing gel - sounds almost similar, no? The ingredients are fairly the same, too.
Great for blackheads! Tried and tested.

I forgot that I used the hydrating serum that Sze-Mien and HuiPing got me on the night I received their gift. When I looked at it again just now (I left it in KL, didn't bring it along in my bag), I was shocked to see the bottle opened!!! I was thinking to myself how come it was opened...they couldn't have bought one that was opened!

Then...it dawned on me. *hehe*

Why?

Why would people point out the obvious only after I come back from my trip?

I TOLD them I put on weight but I guess they think I have some self-image issue...I don't. I am just telling it as it is - that I did put on weight. And everyone goes...

"No lah!"

I did put on weight and didn't even manage to get it off before mom came back the second time this year...and put on some more even BEFORE I went to SF. I came back weighing the same as before I went for the trip and they tell me now, in all ways, that I've put on weight.

Pfft.

I know lah...I'm just irritated because I tell you THE TRUTH, you deny it. Then now you come tell me like I don't already know. Bah! Just because I came back from a holiday, everyone suddenly notices what I've been telling them all the while and reacts as if it's something new. Grrrr...

Global Leadership Summit

Day one.

Session1 was horrible. Not the speaker but my condition/feeling at that time. Had a neckache that radiated to my shoulders and head (headache!)...feeling cold, hungry. Grumpy. Blergh. Couldn't wait for the tea break. *hehe*
I'm just being honest.

Subsequently (after downing JoFo's last two paracetamol) after the tea break, everything was MUCH better! I especially enjoyed Session2 - probably because I could relate to it.

GLS Malaysia - the date and venue for next year has already been set. It's still going to be in Agape Gospel Assembly, Seremban in October. Couldn't quite remember the date but it's late October.

No regrets in participating - though am tired from own hectic schedule. Even managed to squeeze in a short "jog-walk" with JoFo after the conference. *hehe*

JoFo and I at the registration counter.

Lunch time! I'm colour coordinated with the GLS theme.

So are the rest...except for this someone who ARGUED with me about the name tags' colour - saying Agapeans got blue coloured tags when I said EVERYONE gets a blue coloured tag. The other "colours" she saw was yellow - and that was the only other colour. They were given to the volunteers (not attending summit, just there to serve the congregation).

---

Realised in the morning that I've got mail from the council. Snail mail, that is.

"The panel could not ascertain equivalency with that of a current NZ BPharm graduate."

Ah! More obstacles.
Emailed the person in-charge and will see how it goes. If it's just to take those 4 modules, I don't see a problem. Diabetes module would be good because would be able to further explore the disease and I've always(have I? *hehe*) been keen on our CVS.

Sometimes I really don't know if this is what You've planned and if You want me to continue with this. Sometimes You humour me, sometimes You frustrate me because I do not understand all these that are happening. I will continue to trust You because I believe You have good plans for me.

Was it a dream?

One minute I was worrying about my visa, the next thing I know...am back home.

Back.

Kind of sad...kind of in a daze and wonder if it was all just a long, long dream.

Last day of holiday

David&Goliath tees and book from Emily and Evelyn.

1106pm I'm already at the waiting area...flight is at 130am but I don't expect them to be with me till late at the airport.

Having my last burger before going home. Tahpau from Milbrae.

As my trip comes nearer to its end, I took less and less photos. Nothing grabs my attention anymore because I'm distracted by my impending departure.

Of food and cat

Poor mom waited for me for nearly 2 hours! The bus got delayed because of rain+traffic...also the driver didn't seem to know how to get to Oakland! We were scheduled to be at Oakland by 630am but we only got there at about 720am!!! It was jammed up all the way going onto the BayBridge. Madness!
There were no means to contact mom. Even if I did use my phone, she didn't have one. She couldn't call me through pay phone either, right? So she patiently waited for me at the station on 1st Street. Must have been worried!

Chocolate chip bagel with cream cheese at Noah's Bagel, near Embarcadero bart station.

In the Chinese saying, they say bring money along for just-in-cases...mom gave me this last Sunday to keep with me while traveling on the bus. *haha*

The stuff I blew my money on at Michael's...the back portion after the squiggly eyes are Hazel's.

California Pizza Kitchen at Hillsdale mall.

Steve in his favourite spot.

Seafood buffet in FosterCity(?) as a "farewell" dinner.

It is a very cold night! I love the cold weather...last night to cover myself with the Penguin printed fleece blanket while watching TV, last night to tuck self into bed under the Dalmation printed fleece blanket. Do this back home, you'd get a heat stroke or something (I don't use the AC mah! Think global warming!).

Mom's helping me pack my bag - she's experienced. *hehe*

Hello and Goodbye!

So much for "catching up" with AuntJ yesterday - could barely keep my eyes open!

I probably looked weird and "stoned" because sleepy as I was (and eyes taking extra effort to keep opened), I could feel AuntJ looking at me funny. *hehe* I WAS listening, okay...just that not much of a reaction except for cringing during her "show and tell" part.

So this morning I woke up bright and early! I heard AuntJ opening the sliding door (by the way, sleeping on her couch was the BEST sleep I've had...since I didn't get much rest on the bus for the night before) and I got up, too! It was about 615am? Not exactly bright outside.

Chicken making hard-boiled eggs! Quite the salah because chickens are supposed to LAY their eggs, not cook them!

Curry chicken! Yum! AuntJ said her curry chicken very laku suddenly because I'm around. *hehe*
I quote Mike, "I hate to see good food go to waste."

If you can see the hard boiled egg - there is no grey ring around the egg yolk. Perfect eggs! Also the fact that normal tap water here is icy cold! Do you wonder why I'm saying all these things?
I read online (while researching on how to make deviled eggs last time) that to make the perfect hard boiled eggs, you have to soak the eggs in cold water immediately after they are done to prevent the formation of that grey-green ring (oxidation) around the egg yolk.
Super, right? The eggs look so good!!!

I had the first bowl of rice when AuntJ first finished cooking the dishes...then I showered, waited for AuntA to come over to pick me. While waiting, I took another bowl of rice at about 10am. *haha*

Pig is I!

Such an exciting place! To me, that is.

I felt bad that AuntA was walking around without much to buy (prolly already sick and tired of it whereas it's a first for this jakun here) - she went around and came back to the first spot, I was still there! *haha*
I asked her if she had any errands to run because I would've been perfectly happy to spend my entire day there. *hehe* Unfortunately, my trip there had to be cut short not so much of the time limit but because I spent everything I had there in less than 2 hours. Pfft.

Yummy! Joey's BBQ - this is the combination of chicken and baby back ribs. Preferred the ribs because the chicken was kind of dry.

Going back to SF later...so this is really a "hello goodbye" trip to LA.

Monday, October 15, 2007

Finally!

Guess where was this?

Came all the way to LA on the Greyhound bus for this.

Oh...all the way for my aunts and cousins, too. *hehe* You guys know you come first...right?

Gila Gilroy

Went out in the morning to have breakfast at IHOP (this time I got the BreakfastSampler - just a nice combination of sweet and savoury!) before heading to Gilroy (for the WHOLE day...at least till they close *hehe*) for some "serious" shopping.

You have no idea how evil this place is!

After blowing hole in pocket and bank account and melted card (whatever that was left of it)...we went to GardenCafe for dinner. First sit in ChineseRestaurant dinner and first fortune cookie so far!
I write like as if I've shopped till very the kua chiong but in actual fact, I didn't buy much lah. Really. No means for it. Shy to say some purchases were paid (first, mom says) by mom.

To end my night, a plate with my morning sentiment. *hehe*
So happen to stop behind this car with this particular car plate and so happen was sitting in the front passenger seat (when usually I'm at the back).

WARAO!

[Anne, thank you for sending me to the airport!!! Can't express how grateful I am for your help!]

Hello everybody! Picture above is outside mom's apartment block.

It's 757am and I'm already in my uncle's office. Back home, I may not even be out of bed yet! Ehh...hopefully no jetlag!

The speed of the internet here is KERAYZEE!!!
Back home it's 54Mbps and it's "Excellent"...it's 108Mbps here.

*pengsan*

Click only, the page load already.

Great flight here. Flight from Taipei to SF not full (only about half filled) so I got the whole row to myself!

Hazel, your things are here already. Thank God mom came back in time to look see what my uncle wanted to throw out. They didn't even reject the item and wanted to THROW IT OUT! Thank God, ya. My uncle was saying who on earth so "nice" send things to the office. *hehe*

*phew*

My stomach has not adjusted to the time difference, I think. Because despite having two LeanPockets for breakfast, I'm still hungry after 2 hours (back home it's middle of the night and if I stayed up till late, I would've been hungry also).

Oh...uncle's 7series kick butts! *hehe* Am so impressed with the "little little" features - doors that aren't closed properly will shut itself, car boot would open and close on its own properly.

---
Edited 1143am
Am waiting for Evelyn (I was told) to bring me out gallivanting. *hehe* Could upload some pictures now after uncle went out - *hehe*

Was bored waiting around so mom gave me some work. Piecesacake!

So I'm that "anyone".

To kill time, take pictures of EVERYTHING!
Here I am, working for my "allowance"

P/S: To those who are going to email me to pass me list of things to get, probably a better idea for you to message me on my phone because it isn't convenient for me to check my mail. I've got roaming...I may not reply but rest assured, I will receive it. If not, by the time I get back and I didn't buy your things - you know lor I didn't receive message! *haha*
But shouldn't be a problem. I've tried and tested messaging Hazel and Sze-Mien.

T-9 hours

Mom and I thought we'd give the people in Cali a surprise.

The plan failed.

I don't know how that now people in Cali knows already...so makes me a bit pissed. I've even refrained from posting about the day of my visa application just in case anyone reads it from here. I was near posting a falsie about visa application being rejected so that it'll not give it away - didn't want to lie either lah.

Pfft.

So anyway, yea. In about 9 hours I need to check in at KLIA.
Will probably be MIA for about 2 weeks or so (or at least, no posts on birthday celebrations till I get back because I've not uploaded pictures on site and I'm not lugging the laptop over. Also mom's place hasn't got an internet connection, only at the office - but I'm going for a holiday, not work)

Don't miss me too much...don't mind me. I'm just reminding this blogger interface. I haven't got a "fan base" that will be thrown off their groove just because I'd not be posting anything for a while.

Will take LOADS of pictures and will probably take donkey years to compile and post later. Worry later, holi first!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Eat, eat, eat!

08-Oct-07 comes only once in a lifetime. *hehe* Ignore the phone condition - very chan but it's a sturdy phone. The wallpaper is from Wynn.

Been eating non-stop (sort of) since last Friday, ya? I've got some pictures where I really look like korkor (round!!!)...I need to get back on track in losing weight.

Wait a minute...what track?
Get back? I was never on it! GARGH!
So much for losing 10kg by end of the year.

-_-"

These girls are so sweet (plus one guy, Teoh - not in picture) to treat me to lunch on today. SeokBing and Aveline even had programs at 2pm but still spared time to have lunch with me. Awww...life is much better with such caring colleagues.
Before I got assimilated into this group, always felt alienated and that I didn't belong any where. Now work is enjoyable in sense of colleagues/people but work...well, it can be better. *hehe*

For "tea", I met up with Roe+Ju...they're going to be parents soon! In about a little more than 6 months' time.
We went for GenkiSushi since Ju wanted the teriyaki chicken. Poor thing couldn't stomach much things and she didn't take the chawan mushi because of the egg smell...how can? Eggs are so good!
Pregnancy.
Hopefully her sickness would pass after the first trimester.

Dinner.
Ugh! I think once is enough for experience to have this HUGE glass (vase?!) of milk tea. To think I was so adamant in getting it (jeles because I've seen so many having their birthdays there and getting their GIANT milk tea *hehe*) Or probably we should have more people - we only had the minimum, which was six.

Am now in Hazel's place. So much for going back to pack and coming back tomorrow morning to go to the office. I will have to take the whole day off then. *hehe* Should've taken Alan's advice. Don't think I can make it to the airport if I go for the meeting - I'm already feeling paranoid about forgetting stuff or missing my flight!

More pictures and details later!

Phone line's up and working!

[Off topic: Why, oh why?!! Why did I agree to a meeting on this Monday morning?]

If my phone line is working, does this mean my phone is the one that is out? Initially when I turned on my modem and I saw the DSL light blinking (and not settling), I thought to myself, "Great. Still not working."

I forgot to turn off the modem and when I walked into my room (to sleep...supposedly), the DSL light isn't blinking anymore! What else? Turn on the computer to try going online lor.

Now I'm dreading waking up in a few hours' time to drive back to KL. Blergh!

Early celebration with family

Walked into the sanctuary in the morning to think that this person I saw on stage playing the keyboard was Madeline. Then again, this person doesn't seem to be playing like her...when I got closer, I saw it was actually AuntyJenny with a new hairstyle!! *hehe*

---

When I got home today, I announced that I was going to bake my own cake and sing my own song. Korkor came over and said, "Got something for you tonight, just act surprised."

*hehe*

Not that he needed to "assure" me that way, I really didn't mind the baking. I could probably take more pictures of myself at home, in silly poses with my own cake rather than being out and under the scrutiny of others.

Mom was not very happy when I said, "I know already lah...what is there to surprise? How old ady oh?" *hehe*
So we went out for dinner - with UncleHong's family and UnclePetrus also - at BeeKee in Temiang. Mom's leaving tomorrow so she won't be celebrating with me (again) on the actual day but this is better than nothing, I guess.

Asked mom to take this picture of me. Dad insists on me having the sang meen first...which I don't really fancy.
There were pork ribs and yam ring and fish and choy tham but he wants to take this noodle. Aiseh...made me full that I couldn't eat much of other things. Cis!
What to do? He's forking the money for this dinner afterall. *hehe* Eat lor...

There were only 5 little candles. *hehe*
Korkor said to put 3 candles because I'm coming to 30 soon.
*ahem*
Harlow...HE is turning 30 next month, not me. Not yet. Not THAT soon.

Cake bought by UncleHong+AuntySally.
Little do they know I don't really like BlackForest.
The cake that I like is the old bakery kind - buttercake+buttercream. That makes me happy. Simple.
I think it's a childhood thing.

So that's the second "celebration" dinner I had but this time it's with my family.

FMUTM

Father, Mother United Together in Marriage.

No lah.

I took the CUTE exam today and passed! *hehe*
I can only give credit to God because I really didn't mug for this exam - I only memorised the calculation formulae. Thank God I passed and needn't resit!

JoFo and I in the backseat. Before heading off for the exams.

Our exam centre was in the Technology Park, Jaring building. Never been in this part before. Never imagined there are so many other companies/building inside this park! So jakun ya.

FC, Sally, JoFo and I sat for the exam together. KinFei is going on the 22nd, I think.
Ya, seating arrangement also want to take. *hehe*

Yes, toilet sign was also interesting. Lain daripada yang lain mah!

The exam room. It's been some time since I sat for an exam - I dislike exams!

JoFo was wearing My Boyfriend's Trousers. *hehe* As in HER boyfriend's trousers. Not mine.

My seat number 11. Was diagonally behind Sally and FC was diagonally behind me. JoFo was at the end of my row.

Passed! The "Pass" word so small right?
When I went through the paper again (to count how many questions I was confident in), I counted about 30 questions I'd get right. Not enough lor...only 50% mah. We need 60% to pass!
Recounted and thought probably 34 questions lah...that also not enough. 56% only...so when I clicked on "Finish", I actually said a little prayer and "Here goes."
When this screen came out (exactly like how the print out looks like), I was still at blur. Did I pass or fail? I was expecting a big print telling you if you passed of failed...mana tau so small only.
I PASSED!!! Yay!!! Feels good. *hehe*

In fact, all four of us passed.

We went yum cha to celebrate! OldTown at KuchaiLama.

Guess where this little feisty (fighting fish, mah) was found at?

Now I can officially sell UT. *hehe* Though I don't really feel that excited about it - just excited that I passed the exam. *haha*

Friday, October 5, 2007

It starts here...

...all the makan's. Oh dear!

Had a lunch appointment with a client (supposed to go out with two but last minute the other one went out with a friend) and we went to Wasabi Bistro in MandarinOriental, together with Alan. Am a bit more familiar and relaxed with this client, so could snap a few pictures. *hehe*

KUMI's number 1. One is definitely enough. Alan's set lunch came with another one! I think if he knew the set would have it, he wouldn't order the extra one because one is just nice. Any more it's very jelak.
*shudders*

Softshell crab.
Client went, "Do you want this last piece of crab?"
*hehe*
I repeated what he said and he was laughing, "Oh. That didn't come out right. Okay, I shall finish this last piece of crab, then."

Went to see a few other clients, introduced Alan to them and we sat down for a short talk at about 4pm. We only ended about 5pm or so...and the jam on TunRazak was CRAZY! Extra crazy that I couldn't pick Sze-Mien for dinner.
It was a first being prayed for by a manager/superior in public! He prayed for partner some more!
*piaks forehead*

The jam was really bad. After about 30-40minutes, I was only got in front of the US embassy.
Pfft!

I was late to get to the Curve - went home to shower first. Thought LiMay would've done the same but mana tau at about 630pm she messaged me to tell me she's at TheCurve already!

When I got there, Siow and LiMay were already in Sakae...more later! Night didn't end at Sakae...it ended in RedBox with another group of friends!

Hutang meme

I think I will stop doing meme's and stop tagging people. Then the vicious cycle would stop, right? I wanted to write about something else but am too lazy to type a very long entry. Blame it on the weekend that my pace is slowing down.

It's technically Friday already so I will do it like how Geo did her "5 things" meme - on a Friday and it's the fifth. It's also 1255am. Enough of 5's around, right?

5 things in my bag:
- Wallet
- Phone
- Organizer
- Namecard holder
- Lipstick holder

5 things in my wallet:
- Money
- Cards
- Receipts
- Namecards
- My first white hair (yes, no joke)

5 things I like in my room: [Which room? I take KL's room]
- Bed
- Cork board
- Mirror
- Table
- Malau1 and Malau2

5 Things I would like to try:
- Backpacking in Europe
- Diving
- Shaving my head
- Sabbatical leave
- Not worry about anything

5 things I'm doing now:
- Breathing
- Rolling my eyes
- Writing this meme
- Looking through pictures
- Updating OnDemand

---

The other meme is about what again?

*searches blog*

Happy moments.

*takes a second look*

Yea. Happy moments. Hmmm...

Just this morning while being stuck in the jam, I decided I'd be happy being stuck in the jam. So I smiled, rolled down my window and took a picture.

*big grin*

Done.

Thankewerymuch.

Cell

Dear cell members,
Recognize these? I took these pictures on the way to cell - at the traffic lights when it was red. May not have much more cell meetings at GurneyHeights so I just wanted to take in everything. Memory may fail but at least I could look back at these pictures in the future when I need some prompting.

How come the "money plant" on the roadside is better than mine at home (*cough*inthetoilet*cough*)?

KLCC blocked by the trees and KLTower clear in sight.

These railings were freshly painted, I think.

Cooking and baking

I put this t-shirt on Malau1 because I contemplated bringing the fella for Karaoke last Friday (since he was put up on a poster saying he'd be there mah) but decided against it in the end.
Hard to ignore, how true! *hehe* It's actually my t-shirt. Mom bought it for me and it's from the label called "Self esteem". How apt.
They even have a website at www.selfesteemusa.com!

MrLai slicing ginger and me kacau-ing him before I left for Seremban.

He was REALLY excited about his buys - bowls (more like "pots"!!) and claypots. Don't know how his claypot chicken rice turned out! Didn't get to try because was going back to Seremban for dinner.

I thought I was going home for a home-cooked meal, was whining to mom saying she "bluff" me. In the previous week she actually asked when I was coming home, she said she'd cook for me. *sniff*
We went out for our first dinner together (excluding the wedding reception) at Temiang.

Mini scones: Take 2!
Better than the last time but still crusty/hard. Should try another recipe.
They are cute, though, aren't they? *hehe*

Less than an hour

That was how long it took for me to know I got my visa!

And the best thing? I didn't need any of my "supporting documents" - I think this is because they've got my records from the previous visa applications (which were successful, lah!)

Started standing in line at about 725am. Didn't take long for me to get to the security check line - it was about 735am that I had to drop my keys and handphone at security desk.

My number was A015.

Timing quite good - got to go toilet and sat for a bit before getting called to have my forms passed to the lady at counter 1 - who isn't as cheerful as the lady at counter 2! I didn't know that I was supposed to leave (that that is all and I can sit and wait for my turn to get my fingerprints done) until I see her pressing the button for the next person in line. Pfft. Anyway, by the time I got to the main waiting room, it was about 8am.

Waited for a bit to get my fingerprints done because there was only one counter. To think I thought I was kiasu to request for the earliest appointment time possible but the waiting room was filled with a lot of people! I think it was about 815am that I got my fingerprints recorded.

At about 820am, my number got called! It was before numbers 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14 were called! Number 12 was called before me - overheard him telling the office that he's been working with the company since 1990. *hehe* I guess with good track records, the process is much faster!
Anyway, when I was called...I was only asked two questions. Okay lah...more than two but I say two because the other questions are linked to question one!

1. You work with EL? What do you do?
1.1 What does "Product Specialist" mean then? What exactly do you do?
2. Your mother is a PR?

And that was it.

"Okay, you can come back tomorrow between 2-3pm to collect your passport with your visa at the front gate. Goodbye."

825am was the time on my handphone when I retrieved it from the security when I got out of the embassy.

Candy didn't even have to write that HR letter if I knew it was as breezy as this.

Praise God indeed!
Rachel told me on Sunday to bring EVERYTHING I have, every document. She shared that she brought everything and was asked for none - got her visa approved on the spot.
How good is He to oversee everything we need/want!

Okay it was exactly an hour from entry to exit but if it was to know that I got my visa - it's 55minutes. *hehe*

Right in the nick of time. Collected my passport with the visa. 10 years. Multiple entry. If everything goes well, can visit mom more often!

KL city

KLCC - cruising by.

KL Tower - still in the night.

Keat drove Surt and I out to KL city - recce for my trip to the embassy tomorrow. Took quite a number of pictures and some came out really nice!

*hugs camera*

---

Before the recce, I went out for dinner with BoonLeong and Keat. Keat knocked on my door and groggily I answered it. I was hungry but sleep was more important! *hehe* The nap was the best ever (it felt like it at that time!) and very much needed.

We went to KuchaiLama for dinner and beer. The guys went out for basketball before and I guess it was some bet thing they had between the two that Keat said he'll buy BL beer.
*shrugs*
I was just at the right place at the right time for a free meal. *hehe*

Keat, BoonLeong.

I like choy tham! One of my favourite vege. Yum yum!

Drunkard. *hehe* I only had one glass lah - to "cool" my body.

It's been two weeks...

They credited my card two weeks ago and till now there's no news.

LiMay checked her mail last Thursday to find positive news from the council...does this mean I didn't get it?

*sigh*

I will be lying if I say I'm not affected/disappointed or feeling sad...inevitable. Though I say I will trust Him to make the choice for me. I guess current circumstances have changed my thoughts - I want to go over.

Too tired. Tomorrow morning is my visa interview - am feeling feverish due to lack of rest during the weekend, I think. No gym tonight, no dinner tonight. Just plain sleep after I've sorted my documents.

Pray for me?

OnDemand

The core team is really creative - to create excitment by creating the "mission impossible" feel! *hehe* The mini disc they gave to everyone was actually a "self destructing" mission message - to inform us about the launch today. Quite a lot of work just for this (though Wongka told me it didn't go as well as planned - I thought it was fine...save for the fact that I was sleeping with eyes open. Haven't recharged, mah!).

I got up late! Don't even remember how I woke up to retrieve phone from another side of room (purposely did that so I would wake up to walk to phone! I think I can sleepwalk!) AND press on the snooze button. Thank God I woke up late but not TOO late. Instead of 530am, I got up at 6am (reluctantly) and showered before heading to KL.

Jam jam jam jam! And it was drizzling. Not a very good combination, plus the fact I was tired+sleepy.

Took me about 15minutes? Just to get through the Seremban tol. Before I got to the SgBesi tol, it was jammed up already - even for those using cards because the cars couldn't move much after the tol! I think for the first 500m, it took me 20 minutes! It was REALLY bad.

What to do? Pray lor! Prayers do wonders, really.
It was slow all the way then it was cleared up after the ShellStation...then slow at the junction to FederalHighway...and clear all the way to PJHilton. Though I was late, I wasn't TOO late *hehe* Instead of 845am, I got there at 9am, which isn't too bad considering the madness of 20 minutes along 500m stretch earlier. Walked in while GM was giving her speech. Oooops.
Got there in time for her speech and another two speeches then it was coffee break!!! Wheeeee! Great timing, yea? Was hungry already!

<< Cheers! Differently coloured and flavoured bubblies. I asked Wongka but forgot where he got it from already. Pfft.
>> Fuel to keep self awake. Was afraid to take too much for fear of turning diabetic.

PJ Hilton - favourite venue. *hehe*

*hehe* This is quite funny. Apparently the IT team only got to sleep at 3am because they had to fix a few computers that had unauthorized software and one of them was hacked(?). He showed us the screen shot - it was written "Hacked by Pokemon" instead of "Microsoft Internet Explorer" at the top of the browser.
By the way, my MSN messenger also got deleted. *sigh* Gone are all the cute emoticons.

From this it looks as if we're working in an IT firm rather than in a pharmaceutical company, no? Fussing over computers/programs.

SeokBing and FeR. Pulling a face at her because she said she had two pimples, one of each cheek. Very balanced, I must say.

At the end of a seemingly looooooooooooooong day (we finished at 430pm, not very long actually), we got gifts! Got remote control summore, jangan main-main!
Wheeeeeeeeeee!!! Can now listen to my iPod "un-dangerously" (used to just stuff headphones into ears while driving). Apparently costs RM110(?) but Alvin strutted his stuff(!!) and got it for RM50. Probably the fact that he needed 80 units could have also brought the price down ler.

Someone said that the gift clearly reinforces one of the message that is to not store "too many" photos/music in the company laptop. *hehe* So store in our own external devices and plug it to the modulator. Genius! Win-win situation. *hehe*
